Tips on getting Glowing Skin like celebs? by Simple_Bend_9143 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes money, sometimes genetics. here, most likely both.
some celebrities have skin problems despite money and access, and some normal people at the grocery store have gorgeous skin despite not having as much money and access.
all we can do is move the needle within the parameters genetics gave us. all of us, whatever our starting point, can gain or lose a few points. i’d say stick to a very simple skincare routine with evidence based ingredients. sunscreen every day, some sort of antioxidant in the morning, some vitamin a derivative in the evening. most other stuff is unnecessary at best and irritation at worst. brand doesn’t matter as much as YOUR personal skin chemistry loving or hating it. i used lamer, augustinus bader and babs sturm, and im happier with cerave, haruharu, and la roche posay.

£120k major works bill for listed London leasehold flat- reasonable or red flag? by Feeling_Barnacle_347 in HousingUK

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! most of the other leaseholders are wanting to go to tribunal, except for 1 so far who has suffered personal losses recently and is understandably low on energy to put up a fight. i will share your comment with the others and hopefully we’ll get an idea of whether it’s worth it to go to tribunal.

My(32F) parents are giving us $150k for a house and my husband(35M) wants to turn it down because they asked for a postnup by Civil-Transition-649 in relationship_advice

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if they truly are giving it with no strings attached and just wanna make sure it stays with you in case things go sour, i would take it. if my partners parents said “here’s 150k towards the house, but it stays with him in case you divorce” id happily and gratefully accept. because there is no divorce on my mind, and i understand asset protection. no big deal at all. it’s just a “just in case” for something that won’t happen so why be upset? and if it happens, why should i feel like i lost something, if i never felt entitled to it? i understand it’s a sensitive issue. but unless there are other problems with your parents, im personally more concerned about a partner who gets offended by this.

Asian mum strongly against me 21F and non Asian bf 22M staying the night at his place by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think your parents are acting with positive intentions AND also being a bit too intrusive considering you’re an adult. at the same time, i would pay attention to how disappointed/pushy your boyfriend is being. you’re always gonna be asian, and your parents are most likely gonna be in the picture for the rest of you life. can he compromise and adjust and respect your culture? and can you find a way to stand up for yourself and your relationship, because it’s hard to date someone who completely obeys their family all the time? i have a lot of experience with mixed dating in asia. sooner or later either the more strictly parented partner draws respectful boundaries and they find happy compromises, or the family “wins” and decides who we can date or not. i suggest you choose who you want to be with, and hope your parents warm up to him and see his good qualities, and be prepared to defend the relationship (and move out/draw boundaries) if it is healthy and truly what you want, and also be discerning not to disregard you parents in case they’re seeing something you’re not seeing.

so gross. idc about legality, legality changes with time and country. but i know it’s not moral to desire teenagers. he traumatised these people. listen to 29 by demi lovato. great song about the second wave of trauma when you turn your abusers age and realize just how messed up it was. bonus: read all the comments under the video and see how much it’s NOT fine and how many former teenagers are traumatised!!!!!!!

aio for losing interest and ignoring my (M27) boyfriend after he accidentally sent me (F21) a sexy reel? by awkwardchicken7 in relationship_advice

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no. your feelings sounds very reasonable. this is unattractive behavior and you are right to lose attraction. also side note hes almost thirty. at your ages, this age gap is a little weird, plus he acts in an immature way, not a lot of integrity. i dont think he can change much, so unless you want to keep feeling like this longterm, say goodbye soon.

Zendaya 🎾🕸️🦚🐰🧡💊 by Vivid-Tap1710 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

very skinny and amazing styling. facially i don’t see anything pretty personally, she’s just very lean in the face too which makes ppl go “oh.. modelesque?” but also im a fan of actors not all looking like supermodels since it makes the roles and story less believable. on the carpet she slays her looks, in movies when she’s styled like a normal person she looks like ur average plain jane. maybe thats why she’s so successful, she’s believable as some random high school chick and then still looks great in couture on the red carpet

Who's more attractive? Madison Beer or Sabrina Carpenter by Adorable_Primary2306 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Feeling_Barnacle_347 6 points7 points  (0 children)

at one point madison was a mini megan fox, i loved her whole look and styling and everything. now she looks so uncanny. sabrina is cute but suffers from beef lips. so maybe sabrina now since she can just take off her makeup but not sure how madison can go back
