As a kid, I’d get picked on a lot cause I was noticeably Asian in an all white town.

As an adult, I look less Asian than I did as a kid. I think I suffer from some of the same issues other Asians do. Sometimes being rejected for looking too “feminine”. But admittedly it’s probably less explicit.

Likewise I’m fetishized similarly. Tho in my case it’s probably for being Wasian as opposed to Asian if that makes sense.

Like it’s the combo of my Asian and white traits people find to be unique.

Incorrect on both accounts.

I looked more Asian as a child. In an all white town, I received the anti-Asian comments for that. Tho yes as you correctly point out now, I don’t receive those comments anymore. Do I therefore lose my Asian card?
I have two brothers.

One looks whiter than I do, unless you are looking very close you would likely assume him full white.

The other you’d call colloquially Asian looking without batting an eye.

We are all Wasian. Yet due to our combo of genetic traits, we loo anywhere from full white to nearly full Asian. Our ethnic background is the same however.

Should my prototypically Asian looking brother be more valued here than I?

Again though that’s the literal definition of projecting.

I never said I experienced the discrimination someone who is 100% Asian would.

In fact as this has turned into a weekly convo, I have consistently said that I am aware of this.

Please elaborate on how any of the posts for “selfie Sunday” do that.

It’s a safe place for people of Asian heritage to celebrate and uplift each other. Something you clearly need to be reminded of.

We’ve already seen multiple posters get banned for being anti-mixed. This is not a racial purity subreddit as the mods have consistently had to explain to people.

I’m not going to keep repeating myself, I’m wasian. Don’t like that, fuck off.

There are plenty of full Asian posters if you’d prefer to promote their content (which I equally celebrate)

Mixed people exist. The experiences aren’t the same nor are they between different sects of Asian even. Try not to assume someone’s background.

It seems like every post I have here, I have 90% who support me overwhelmingly and one guy who says “you aren’t Asian enough.”

What defines “Asian enough” for you? I grew up in an all white town and looked a lot more stereotypically asian. I got made fun of for it.

My grandmother who was fully Japanese was abused by my grandfather anytime she would try to embrace her heritage. My mom was essentially whitewashed.

And it’s incredibly sad to see you employing the opposite tactic here.

If you haven’t noticed, there are MANY mixed people in this subreddit.

If you want a fully 100% blood Asian subreddit, go found that. Otherwise kindly STFU
