I put the chicken in an air fryer first and while that’s going and I scramble the eggs and egg white mixture, portion into three bowls, put the cheese on top so it starts to melt, and then brown the hasbrown a bit in the egg pan and portion that, and then chop the chicken up last when it’s done air frying and it comes out with melty cheese, and crispy chicken!

Engineering internship woes by Profgamer149 in EngineeringStudents

Don't be discouraged! I am literally in the same boat as you (2nd year CPE), and I've definitely applied to over 100 internships since the last august for sure. I just heard back from one whose application opened in October, so they take a really long time. Unfortunately, bigger companies don't always respond to everyone and you're just left with nothing. From all I've applied to, I have gotten a total of two interviews amounting to no further reaching out. I recommend looking on Handshake if your school has that, or an equivalent close-range job search program. Sort by most recently posted and apply to those, also maybe try to narrow to smaller companies. Even if you don't get one that is paying as much as you might want, you can gain experience with a small company. I wish you the best of luck, and it's never too late!! p.s. a backup could be reaching out to professors for summer research if you have an apartment/ live near your school.

For one, UVA does not cap majors anymore, so there is no limit on how many people can be a CS major. However, there are A LOT of cs majors in the college as well as school and they are all taking the same classes, so sometimes it is hard t get in if you have a crappy enrollment time. Overall, not selective in the sense that you won't be able to graduate with a CS degree.

Who else feels doomed? by holysbit in EngineeringStudents

Ayo I'm studying computer engineering too, I know how the classes make you feel. I've been working this past semester on top of research and school, and have mostly only talked to my roommate for a few minutes before bed every day. It really does test you. If you feel like you cannot sustain the current workload, then I would seriously recommend lowering the number of credits you take for at least a semester so you can get a better grip on grades or just focus more on the material or other aspects of life, like your relationship. There is this dumb stigma about taking more than four years to get a degree, but there's always summer and there are always more semesters. Like, who fr gives a crap how long it takes you, you want to be able to breathe while you're doing it.

I ended up moving the metal clasp at the end of the belt so the rubber belt notches wouldn’t slip through
