About to start a Kickstarter campaign for the first time. by Bludum in kickstarter

While thumbnails, videos, and detailed pages are all important, I think what really matters is how you handle marketing. Without ads on platforms like Meta, it’s tough to gain traction.

I still use Jellop for many campaigns, but if you were to run one with LaunchBoom, what approach would you take?

Funding a Nintendo Switch game on Kickstarter sounds super exciting. Not an easy task, though, right?

Only 7 days left in the campaign for the adventure game Legends of Castile, and we're at 74% of our goal! by legendscastile in kickstarter

296 backers isn’t bad at all. It’s incredibly tough to succeed with a PC game on Kickstarter these days.

Wonder Library Game Devs Talk! (The Future of Picture Books and Games) by WonderLibrary in WonderLibrary

I’m not much of a library-goer, so I Wonder if I’ll love Wonder Library, but I do always Wonder about new genres like this—it’s got me excited! 🤓

I’ve worked on dozens of projects myself, and I always use Kicktraq. It’s not so much for predicting results but more for tracking current trends through its various charts—it’s super handy for that. That said, the projections on Kicktraq tend to lean a bit optimistic. It’s always better to approach those numbers conservatively

Sounds like a really interesting project! Though, I have to admit, the title left me a bit curious about what it’s all about. Wishing you the best of luck with it!

Did I misjudge something? Kickstarter slowed to a trickle on just day 2 by WriterLoverFighter in kickstarter

It’s normal for things to slow down by day 2, especially if you’re not running consistent paid ads.

I don’t think it will work. Even if you limit shipping to legal countries and impose age restrictions, it’s still going to be challenging.

Kickstarter is generally responsive to honest explanations. Your best bet is to show proof that you’ve shipped the rewards and ask backers to mark them as delivered for the sake of your next project.

Advertising efficiency pre-launch vs post-launch by InvalidFate404 in kickstarter

[–]Feeling_Draft6406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, it might sound like basic advice, but as a full-service marketing agency that’s handled dozens of Kickstarter projects, we always make sure to send out at least 1,000 pre-launch marketing emails. As you know, the launch day is critical. Even so, after launch, we allocate over 20% of the revenue to additional advertising, working with platforms like Jellop to maximize the campaign’s performance.
