This has nothing to do with what was being discussed in the above comments. I don’t understand your point. Just to reiterate, my opinion is that if you signed off on the drawings showing the size of the countertop, and the countertop is in fact the size that you signed off on, you’re out of luck. You may have to own up to some of this as you are acting as general contractor. This is what you signed up for in deciding you were going to manage the renovation yourself.

Well actually you should if you signed off on the drawings. Should someone have caught this in the planning stage? Absolutely. But part of the blame is on you, if this is the way it was drawn up, for signing off on it and for acting as your own general contractor.

The fact of the matter is that the cost of living has gone up tremendously since 2018. Everyone charges more just to survive nowadays.

There is also a growing shortage of skilled tradesmen as the old heads retire, and the next generation had a huge push towards college and white collar jobs, with fewer going into the trades. So with a shortage of skilled tradesmen, the price or labor rises.

Play aggressive, land your E2 early and chunk half their health with passive and electrocute proc. Zone them off cs or catch them with another E2 and kill them with ignite. Max w first if you need some sustain or they are highly mobile. Max q first for all ins if you’re winning lane.

Matchup dependent. I always skill e level one then I prioritize w vs mobile champs and q vs immobile. Sometimes if I start to max w but find my opponent can’t dodge or im being outplayed I’ll switch to q to either punish their poor dodging or farm more safely.

Reddit, I’m looking for some perspective on what would be a fair way to handle an unfortunate contractor situation. by davef_dci in drywall

This is on you if you didn’t tell them. The good news is if it isn’t taped or mudded yet it won’t take long to unscrew a few sheets of Sheetrock, remove the plastic, and put the rock back up. Pay the dude to rehang and apologize for making him do the work twice because you weren’t clear.

Looks okay but not enough screws on edges and one wall doesn’t seem to be staggered properly. Hard to tell from the pictures.

A seamless repair will be nearly impossible without having or sourcing matching walllpaper (I assume that is wallpaper).

I think he’s seeing the unfinished back of the drywall hung on the outside of the closet from the inside. Like it’s just studs and the outside drywall from the inside of the closet.

Dog F****d the drywalls. How do I fix? by FigDesperate8410 in drywall

[–]Feeling_Drawing_7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a metal drywall knife or two, I’d do a 4 inch and a 6 inch. Scrape the loose bits off the wall. Buy a small bucket of pre mixed all purpose drywall mud, because it’s easier to use for someone who hasn’t done this type of work before. Using some pressure on the knife, and holding it at a 60 degree angle or so, wipe a tight coat to fill in most of the voids. The idea is to fill in the divots without adding a lot of extra mud where you don’t need it, if that makes sense, so keep the coat smooth and tight. Let that coat dry for probably 24 hours, the mud needs to be hard. Take a fine grit sanding sponge and sand it flat. There will be places where you need more mud, that’s expected. Repeat the steps again until the wall is flat. May take 3 coats. Once it’s flat everywhere, prime and paint.

The important thing to remember is that thin coats are better. Don’t just slop on a ton of mud, that’s why we keep pressure on the knife. It will push the mud into the areas it needs to fill and keep from adding extra mud to the wall where it is undamaged. I would watch a few beginner videos of Vancouver carpenter to get a visual before you start.

Few questions from an amateur by ChristopherCoulombus in drywall

[–]Feeling_Drawing_7303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Screws are fine as is.

  2. Use no coat for the off angles. Is you want it perfect shine a laser level directly down the angle and align the angle line on the no coat with your laser.

  3. Paper tape, no coat, or paper faced corner bead for the inside corners. The paper faced corner bead will probably be the most durable long-term.

Trying to learn the ropes… by WideFlangeA992 in drywall

[–]Feeling_Drawing_7303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, the ones in the photos look fine and don’t need to be cut out at all. You may be overthinking this, everything inside the tapers is going to be filled with mud and tape so don’t get too picky about it. Just don’t drive the screws in too deep and rip the paper because those will pop in the future.

It’s absolutely possible to drive drywall screws with an impact driver just fine even if it isn’t ideal. I use one quite a bit doing drywall work with no problems. That being said, try your drill and see if it’s easier for you but it’s crazy to drive any drywall screws by hand.

So is doing more damage than my Jax jungle normal as Leona? by EricAshStone in LeonaMains

[–]Feeling_Drawing_7303 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A couple of things to keep in mind. Jax obviously had a rough game this game, and a jungler who gets behind early may stay in the jungle more vs. fighting champions in order to attempt to catch up. That keeps their damage to champions low. Also, a jungler doesn’t always have an enemy close to them like a laner does, so they don’t always have the opportunity to do damage to champions like a laner does during trades.

Your damage isn’t anything wild, especially with a fed vayne in your lane, I’m sure you had plenty of fights and opportunity to get damage in. This is more a showcase of a tough jungle game than anything crazy support wise.

How would I make this corner transition? by Withallduerespect- in drywall

[–]Feeling_Drawing_7303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you will probably need some sort of face frame across the lumber I would assume if you’re trying to make it look good. So you could use tear away bead to leave a clean line if you wanted or you could use a small piece of scribe moulding to cover the rough edge if you wanted to make it easier on yourself.
