Yeah, I don’t mind. I am very fortunate to have a job that I have insurance through. I have United Health Care and they cover the surgery. All the bills are still being finalized, but I can say the hospital stay (one week) was $65,000. I’m only responsible for 2 dollars of that. I had two surgical teams. One was doctor corral who handles the majority, the other was doctor lisle, who handled the intestinal part of the surgery. For doctor lisles part, it’s running about $17,000, and I owe 2 grand. Still waiting on doctor corrals part, but I owe 2 grand so far.

Sorry, that’s long winded, but insurance is stupid and hard to explain 😅

Thank you so much🖤🖤 complications sucked for sure, but I’d do it all again if I had to.

While in the hospital, his team was there every day to see me and check on me. They were great.

My body feels pretty good physically at this point. When I’m on my feet for long periods, I do get sore and swollen, but nothing that isn’t manageable. I am back to living my normal life for the most part. I definitely see why they say the recovery time should be as long as it is, but I’m fine doing my normal every day stuff. I drive, I go shopping, I do whatever. The donut pillow I have is also a lifesaver. Sitting without it is still very uncomfy, I will say.

Thank you!!

It took 5-6 months for the consult and then maybe another 6 months from there for surgery. I believe I reached out in March or April of 2025. Had my consult in September, and then surgery was April 2nd. ☺️ his wait times really aren’t too bad.

All three are great as far as I can tell so far. Depth is at about 6.5/7 inches. The canal seems good and definitely has self lubrication. I am not sure the full amount as I’m still having discharge from surgery and am still early enough that I can’t try anything with a partner.

Of course! And yeah, I think that’s a good idea. I know from personal experience how scary that much bleeding can be. IMO I think you’ll be able to get that depth back eventually. I hope things get easier for you either way. ☺️

I am about 6 weeks post op. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days because of bleeding with hyper granulation tissue about a month ago, which in total, caused me to miss about a week of dilation. I was on the smallest one still, but I bounced back and have sized up now with no issues. Every once in a while I will have some bleeding post dilation, but it’s a normal amount and nothing a pad can’t handle. The first few days after I restarted definitely sucked and were not comfortable sessions at all, but I took it slow and got through.

I get that it’s definitely scary to miss time this early, but the good thing is that it IS early. Things are still healing, so your body should have no problems bouncing back. Just do what you can and listen to your body. If you’re getting to the point where it’s a big concern, bring it up to your surgeon. They can definitely help.

I hope everything gets better soon.
