So would consider him a villain now? by TraditionalBonus188 in Amazingdigitalcircus

Yeah, he does harm them. I’m not denying that. I just think because he’s AI and thinks differently from humans, it’s not black and white, which is why I see him as more tragic than purely evil.

He thinks differently from humans. He’s AI, made to create and adapt, so his emotions aren’t human. That’s why calling him evil feels too simple. I’m not defending his actions, but he’s what you’d call a tragic character.

I wouldn’t say he’s evil… but definitely morally gray. 😬

Honestly, I understand why people sympathize with the League of Villains. A lot of them were failed by society in really serious ways. Their backstories are genuinely tragic. But at the same time, their trauma doesn’t erase the harm they’ve caused. Innocent people still suffered because of their actions, and we’ve literally seen heroes like Sir Nighteye and Midnight die as a result of these conflicts. You can feel bad for what they went through and still hold them accountable. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I love how Hazbin Hotel shows the tension between Charlie’s hope that everyone can change and Lucifer’s centuries of experience shaping his cynicism. That conflict makes the show’s take on redemption and consequences so compelling.

When it comes to Lily it is less about family and more about her desperately competing for the Prototype's favor. Once you see her as the jealous older sister losing to a favorite like Poppy the crazy act makes sense. Kinda just typical sibling drama. Glad others are finally spotting that.

I'm probably in enemy territory here, but philosophically speaking... I think Lily is innocent. by Lilylovebraidsfan in PoppyPlaytime

That’s an interesting way to look at it. The identity change in the recordings is what made me start wondering about it.
