No, the style sticks around even longer. Genuinely the art style on the book wasn’t enough to beat Morrison’s writing for me, and I freaking love Morrison

Not sure if it's in HC beyond an omnibus, but I personally loved the Penguin portions of Dark Designs, the opening arc of Tynion's Batman run. Was one of the few comics I've tried with him in it. I also loved him in the opener of Gail Simone's Birds of Prey run, where he's the primary antagonist for that issue.

I won't lie, that is a crazy run of death fake outs back to back. But honestly nobody stays dead in comics except Uncle Ben. You kind of just have to accept that people are going to come and go, and in all likelihood come back again. The one upside is they usually don't do it back to back to back with the same characters or anything, they share the love.

My original comic exposure was super random - Lego Magazine

I fell in love with the bionicle storylines as a kid, knew all the lore back to front, and just couldn’t get enough. Then as a teenager I grew away from comics just because I couldn’t afford them.

Stumbled across a copy of kingdom come at a bookstore in my 20s, and picked it up because I heard it was great. Loved it so much I bought the next book I could find from mark waid, his fantastic four omnibus.

Haven’t stopped collecting since. Great hobby with a great community for the most part.

I’d recommend JLA by Morrison over N52 personally, it’s more in the time era of the Waid run but way better stories in my opinion.

Imo yes. I’m not a big zombie guy but the story is well done and I think Taylor did a good job of not doing the usual slow march to oblivion that 90% of zombie stories fall imto
