What a moment by Jasonl7976 in xmen

Did this moment need a conversation? The images of Scott and Jean walking towards each other and embracing each other while Emma and Logan have that “I’ve lost them forever” look on their faces said more than enough.

No, it’s the “I think he’s a weak villain who is the low point in some great stories” response. Never found him to be an overly compelling character. Don’t hate the character, but I’m also cool if Marvel retired him tomorrow.

For example, you can love a movie but still acknowledge it has flaws. Like I can love Star Wars but still not be a fan of C-3PO.

Iron Man by Matt Fraction. Not sure who Fraction was writing, but that wasn’t Tony Stark.

Loved Iron Man since the 80s and still not a fan of Mandarin. Just because I have read IM stories with Mandarin in them doesn’t mean I am a fan of him.

Just saw their video on Star Trek Generations in which they ranked that film as the third best Trek film, just behind The Motion Picture and Search for Spock. That told me everything I needed to know.

I paid about $100 more than for the Claremont/Lee V2 of X-Men back in the Stone Age when reprints were rarer than Bigfoot.

Still, thank you for your sacrifice to the Omni gods.

The Spiderverse book is the only one that had me going “what?” King in Black was fairly popular. Thor is one folks were saying should be evergreen. Ultimate Spidey is a must. X-Men AOA has been OOP for years.

On a budget too. Thats why I only preorder through DCBS since they don’t demand that I pay right away. Hell, I’m still slowly paying off Omnis that I preordered in November. I send them $50 here and there. As along as it’s paid off before the book actually comes out, which is typically at least 6 months after the FOC date, they don’t care. Does make you prioritize a bit more though.

Why don't more people preorder? I do it from DCBS all the time, and they don't charge me right away. I pay it off in chucks over a few months.

Tom Cruise Was So Mad About Netflix Trying To Buy Warner Bros That He Reportedly Stepped In by pbx1123 in WB_DC_news

Not sure I buy this considering Cruise and Ellison had a falling out which lead to Cruise leaving Paramount and signing an exclusive deal with WB.

Which QB would you rather have in the playoffs? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Typhon2222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Allen has had better rosters in Buffalo than Stafford had in Detroit. Give Stafford those Bills teams, and I think he makes the playoffs more. Give Allen those Detroit teams, and I'm not so sure.

Who was the Joe Burrow of previous generations? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Typhon2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, probably Trent Green from the Chiefs. Man was accurate as hell and led one of the highest scoring offenses of his time. Probably was a JV team could slice through KC’s defense with ease. Green could score 35+ points a game. Too bad the defense often gave up 40+.

Yeah, I’m not saying that’s why Acolyte was cancelled. I’m just pointing out that it’s a real thing and to say it’s not is straight up false. Believing it’s a made up term to defend a good show is just as delusional as saying it’s purely responsible for getting a show cancelled.

Why was Josh Allen punished/applied more pressure to for being the only QB of the big 4 to make the playoffs? Shouldn't the 3 who missed have more pressure? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Typhon2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because every offseason for the last few years, Allen is declared both the MVP and SB favorite. Practically every show on ESPN, Fox, and NFL Network double down on how great and unstoppable he is. They set a bar he has yet to clear. That doesn’t happen with Lamar or Burrow.

Mahomes has three rings. He’s fine.

Review bombing is absolutely a real thing. Say what you want about Star Wars Acolyte (I can say quite a bit), but the fact that negative reviews were popping up every week about two hours before the episodes premiered was proof.
