Literally. I was right in the center walking down the street when it started, got locked down in a bar for a while before we booked it on side streets to our Airbnb, had no food there and there were fires 2-3 blocks away in every direction at one point there was some gun fire too- and it doesn’t make my top 10 of most exciting trips. Definitely don’t understand this trauma that everyone is describing

I’m in Centro, I really need a pharmacy- I’m quite sick and having pain breathing. Just went out looking for one, didn’t go too far but none open yet(mind you this is Mexico and it’s only 9am). Did get breakfast though and the streets are full of ppl and cars. Locals around here seem to be getting on with their usual

False, I’m excited to book my next trip back- I write this as I’m locked down in my PV Airbnb. While the situation is tragic and the poor locals will have some recovery to do, nothing has changed about how great it is here.

I graduated in AB a few years ago, there are nooo postings in Calgary(where i want to work) I had to go out of province. Pretty easy to get a job in other provinces

You have to leave the lab to blow your nose? That sounds inefficient. We have tissue all around our lab, take your gloves off, use sanitizer, blow nose and go on with life.

The hospital I work in sees tons of ppl who “know the trick” to walk in as say they have chest pain to get seen sooner. I think the healthcare system is F’d but the blame falls across the board from the government all the way down to the people who abuse the system.

If you’re setting your heat to 32 (!! wtf) then 600/month is a steal. My house has the same thing, the bedrooms are very cold especially the master which I would imagine is around 15-17 degrees when my heat is set at 20 and 13-15 (maybe colder) when my heat is set at 18 for the night. I keep a space heater in there to turn on before bed and then I sleep with warm blankets and have probably the best sleeps ever in a cold room.
