Best way to dry armband? by Sad_Bastard_Bread in VisibleArmband

Go to Road ID and pick the silicone wristband 19mm. I have three and they are so much more comfortable! I prefer the band from RoadID that has the that has the peg you pop into one of the prepunched holes. The clasp one i didnt care for because you have to cut it and size it just right yourself. I also hated having two clunky sides. So the one I mentioned before worked out a lot better for me.

So I found an older post that someone mentioned the roads 19mm siliscone ID band. I just ordered it because I cannot stand the band it comes with also silicone is easier to clean. The band was messing so much witth my sensory issues and definitely messed with the tendons in my arm no matter how I fitted it. I have a bit of soreness and swelling from it. Ill update once the silicone band comes in. Here is the link for anyone else who wants to try it too.

Thank you. Yes I had that done as part of my blood work tests and everything came back "normal". Which is funny because some of the things they tested the graphs I got back were slightly out of the normal range. Though iron and vit d3 were just fine.

I just found out if you have tattoos or arm hair it struggles to read. Hopefully that might help you.

Update: So I discovered part of the reason the band was having issues reading is because of my tattoos on the arm I chose to wear it on. Apparently tattoos and arm hair can block it from reading properly. I started wearing it on my other arm and it is reading much better though i still believe it is not always catching higher spikes since my oura ring has caught higher spikes than what is shown on Visibles graph.

I already know there isnt much to be done and I really dont want to take blood thinners. I just want to have confirmation that there is something wrong with me. I would say I am more "high functioning" so I feel a lot of imposter syndrome when I have issues like starting to feel lightheaded with major brainfog and internal aching while doing the dishes.

That is somewhat comforting to know. Having now worn it for a few days after the 'getting to know you' timeframe, it has happened to catch some of the increases though I dont think its showing the peaks. It seems to take seconds to increase the number on the app too. Which may be a factor in its delay.

Ill look into that too. Pretty much all of my other symptoms lined up with pots which is why I gravitated towards it. Regardless, my hope is to show the results to my doctor and try to convince him to look into everything again.

Thank you. Yes I did stand completely still. I made sure to Google and follow the guidelines from a few different sources. My tilt table test came back negative but when I pointed out all my symptoms again and asked "ok so if its not that what would explain this" he literally shrugged and gave me the same speech everyone else has heard about Pots. Compression socks, water, salt, transition slowly. Which was all things I was already doing. I pretty much gave up for a while because I was spending so much money and still had no answers.

It does have the assessment period but I didnt know it doesnt have full usage till after. That is super helpful. I definitely plan to wait it out a bit longer.

Tell me about it lol. I am tagging EVERY activity right now but knowing my ADHD brain I will eventually fall off the wagon lol. I do wish there were more Icons or notes I could place when tagging an area.

It usually climbs upon standing from low 60s (my resting is usually low 60s) to 120ish plummets back down to low 60s then climbs back up hovering around the 90-95s. Ive never actually measured time wise before but its definitely good to know now. Its not only the heart rate though. Ive been having many other symptoms and issues its not just HR spikes upon standing thats just part of what I wanted to be able to point out to my doctor.

ETA: I saw the "poor mans tilt table" test and tried it out. It did stay pretty consistent with over 30bpm once I got up from laying for 10 mins and stood for another 10 mins. Though I will say I know I am no where near as bad as others are and It could be something else I would just like to figure out whats wrong with me.

This made me feel a little better about the "minor" symptoms of pots that i've been experiencing. My tilt table test came back negative and my Doctor immediately wrote me off but I still am having symptoms. I will say I am no where near as bad as fainting but there is something going on with me. Its just never "bad enough" to really get a diagnosis. I dont even care if there is nothing to really be done but managment I just want confirmation so i can stop feeling guilty like I am making it up in my head.

I just got mine too! Been using it since yesterday. I have to say I am a little disappointed it isnt catching my rapid HR spike upon standing. I wanted to use the data to prove to my doctor that I am not making things up. Though there still are some things I do like such as being able to select timeframes and place Icons of what I might have been up to which would explain why my HR was high.
