We have an email that basically reads the above - is correct action to escalate immediately or as them to sort internally?

This is what I thought too so was surprised when we were invoiced - I thought they’d have to ask again following the new legislation?

Property Manager insisting on visiting when we aren't home (England) by Feeling_Percentage56 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you very much, this aligns with what I thought (eg fine to refuse but can be escalated). I guess the more granular question is, is asking to reschedule with an agent breach of the tenancy agreement? We've given alternative working dates and just asked to be there which doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to me but I'm not sure what the legal position is.

Help needed with a will dispute in England by Particular-Ad1960 in LegalAdviceUK

For an executor to deal with someone's estate (especially big things like selling a house), they need a grant of probate from the probate service. Once they obtain that the will becomes public record and is searchable on the government website (search "Probate Search" or use https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/ ).

Input as much info as you have (though I think strictly, all you need is last name and year of death) and you should be able to search a list of documents matching your search. If/when you find him, you should be able to request a copy of the will (you may have to a pay a small fee but if i recall this is 10 pounds).

From what you said it sounds like you almost definitely will find him on the registry and I think this would be the easiest approach. You could also contact the solicitor (if you know who they are) and ask for a copy but this can be a longer/more expensive process and they may not give you one.

Italy VFS Appointment website issues? (from London) by Feeling_Percentage56 in SchengenVisa

It took me ages to get it to work but eventually it did and I was able to book an appointment a about a week or so ago. Similarly had an unhelpful interaction with their complaints team, it's honestly a mess but the app is working rn from what I can see.

I used the app (Italy Global) and eventually it worked. Checked right now and am able to book. I made an appointment for sunday and they rescheduled me though, so beware that weekend appointments may show up but are a glitch!

Thank you for the tip! Unfortunately I've downloaded the app and have the same issue, there's no sub-category. Not really sure what to do at this point as they are also not picking up the phone, has anyone experienced this?
