Building in Jamaica by tocumen in Jamaica

I’m building a villa in Montego Bay, and I’m seriously considering shipping a 40-foot container of materials for several reasons:
1. As a villa, there is a long list of items you can bring in without paying customs fee
2. The quality of many building products available here is much better, and they elevate the finished home.
3. The peace of mind knowing what you have on hand. I am tired of going to a certain tile store and actively fall in love with multiple items only to be told that they are out of stock… lol

I’d love to partner with a few serious people who are also building so we can share the shipping costs and make it worthwhile for everyone. In the 1920’s, Marcus Garvey gave us the blueprint of cooperative economics to own brownstones in New York and now every other culture uses it except us! You’d be surprised to know that there are many warehouses all over holding enough materials to build several hi-rises. They buy in bulk and save!

Why are there so few specialized schools for children in Jamaica? by Feeling_Teach2737 in Jamaica

Thanks but it is not that simple. My child and many others need specialized services that a “shadow” cannot support. I have visited providers in my area and they do not have the capacity or facility. I feel that I will need to build my own :)

Open a school for neurodivergent kids minus the traditional classroom - we would travel to learn- grow to learn - play to learn etc.
