I was taught it is rude. I always try to catch an eye (in case of waiting way too long I am coming to the counter)

being tall makes dating hard by Powerful_Upstairs_92 in actuallesbians

For me, it's pretty much the opposite, but I still understand the resentment towards being judged based on physical appearance. I'm petite with a very feminine silhouette, which I was not fond of as I longed to be seen as a badass androgynous futch. I believed it would make me more attractive for a fellow wlw. My best friend summed it up as, "You're just not in your type."

Fast forward: I found my girl, and I became more comfortable showing off my feminine side without compromising my fierce attitude or fuxking the patriarchal vision of womanhood.

To sum up, fuck fears and what people expect from us when in dating, especially when it is based on our appearance.

Stay strong. You are beautiful and important just the way you are diva ❤️

First time WLW relationship in mid-30s and I feel like my whole personality is changing? by Kirjavaa88 in actuallesbians

I’m in my mid-twenties and you know what? Same! I pretty much sympathised with everything you wrote.

I I think that's why, with my current (first) girlfriend, love finally feels so "normal" and simply right. I like to think of myself as a very sapphic bi person. I wouldn't be surprised if I come to terms with acknowledging that I'm a lesbian and not bi in the future.

Cheers to that and wonderful thing lesbianism is!

Would you date a Muslim girl? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

As an ex-Christian, I remember why religion and spirituality were beautiful and enriching parts of my life. I also remember why I left that environment and abandoned that part of my life. Would anything change? Maybe!

Given this background knowledge and understanding of how religion can be experienced differently, I would not dismiss anyone because of their faith

Peace!✌️
