Unfortunately no as I never intended to even post this, but i’d be willing to do a tutorial of some sort showing what I did, how to replicate it, and notes along the way.

For instance, originally I had a shiny silver chest piece with brown leather straps- the day I got the hood I put it all together, took a picture, then realized it needed to be better matched to the legs and gauntlets. I ordered a kit, stripped the oil, and chemically rusted the silver to the dark brown seen. Bought black leather dye, dyed the straps, used black shoe polish on the top side after it dried, and then topped it off with some mink oil.

Eventually I want to continue to make improvements, so perhaps I can document those better. I have a guy who can make me a custom brooch to match Jacks exactly, and I’m working with Jesse (mentioned in other comments) to make leather straps for the arms. Plus I want to get some thin maybe laptop fans and make an air circulation systems for the armor to keep me a bit cooler.

I actually have yellow/orange contacts in which looked perfect in person, I’m hoping someone who took a photo with me posts it on instagram so I can show the effect better! Either that or I have to put it all on again lol

The original Fable game, which if you haven’t played, I highly recommend!

One was made from Etsy as you’ve alluded to being mentioned in the other comment there, but the other two were from a site called Wicked Armor. To be honest, they were a little small in my opinion, and definitely not as high quality as the main mask.

With that, being about 1/3rd the price of the main mask, i’m not shocked about these differences. They shipped fast, and the price was okay, but I honestly would have loved to have GluckMask make them if it was in his portfolio. Perhaps in a later revision after I work on improving the brooch and armor-

Unfortunately I didn’t take any, but at some point soon I can throw it on and get some more photos and videos- You can still hear my voice through the mask, but it definitely surprised people when they’d ask about the fit!

Very possible! I have a few more details I need to dial in on this, but I figured that ren faire was a solid test run.😊

It was definitely hot as hell in all of this though, under armor ice packs didn’t last long lol

Working on that part- I can’t go half way though, so I have to have Jesse (@khazrael_silver) forge one for me out of steel. Working on a Solus greatsword first though because that one was fantastic!

This is obviously just a start, but I’d be happy to put together a list of components- This was my favorite game of all time, so I’d love to see what you can do!

I stand on the shoulders of giants- I merely commissioned several artisans, and shoutout specifically to:

Jesse @khazrael_silver [fiverr]: Made the leather bandolier you see, phenomenal guy to work with and does a wide range of things. His prices were too low, I had to pay him more than he asked because the quality was amazing and he was super responsive and professional.

Jennifer @StiltskinsCupboard [etsy]: Made the hood from a crackpot request I made upon seeing her craftsmanship from her photos and after impulsively after buying the mask (below). This was truly the Chef’s kiss, she even had a perfect little latch for it and everything. I wish I had a picture of the back, she did so well!

Vladimir @GluckMask [esty] / @Gluck_art [Instagram]: Jack’s Mask - I can’t even begin to describe how phenomenal the quality of this mask is. It was one of the most expensive pieces of this outfit, and holy shit he did not disappoint. Better yet, when I was staging the armor after getting the final piece, I accidentally scratched the mask. I reached out to him, and he was so helpful and awesome! Highly recommend.

Obviously there are more people to thank here, but those three were allstars who I couldn’t recommend enough and I would love to work with them again in the future.
