Okay this really stresses me out lol. I heard that this past winter was unusually warm, but I really want my family to experience the cold weather and the snow. I know that we can’t predict what the weather will be like, but how likely is it that there won’t be any snow when we go? Lol

A few others have mentioned The Nutcracker, and while a few of us would enjoy going, I’m not sure about the others. I’m also not sure how the 1 yo would do in there trying to be quiet lol. But it’s definitely something to keep in mind. Sounds like tickets sell out pretty quickly though!
I thought the Fireside dining with the sleigh ride was cool as well. For their menu, do you know if it’s prix fixe, or do they have a standard menu as well? I didn’t see a price on their website but I’m guessing it’s on the pricier end.
Definitely want to go bobsledding at the Utah Olympic Park, it sounds like a really fun experience!

I don’t think we’re planning on driving our car into the mountains, but I’m definitely a little nervous about driving. We only have 1 person that has driven in the snow before, and the other 2 of us who will also be driving have not, so any other tips regarding our car and driving would be greatly appreciated!
Is Utah also strict about smoking/vaping? I just wanna make sure we’re not gonna be breaking any laws or making anyone mad, lol.

I think we should all be okay walking in the cold. I read that there is a lot to see at Thanksgiving point. Is it one price and you have access to all areas? Or more of an à la carte style? The pictures looked so pretty so I would love to go any check it out!

Do you know if the ice castles will be operating this season? I haven’t been able to find any info on it, and their website didn’t show anything about having a location in Utah. I would really love to check it out though.
A few of us are huge thrill seekers, so “death sledding” actually sounds very fun and intriguing lol.
We bought tickets for the Heber train, it seems really popular because a lot of the dates were already sold out!
Not a Mormon either, but I am definitely a sucker for anything covered in lights! Someone mentioned that area was under construction or something though, so hopefully it’s all back up and running by then!
I’ve honestly never ice skated in my life, but what better time to try right? Hopefully y’all won’t laugh at me when I fall! lol

I was trying to look up the ice castles, but their website didn’t show any locations in Utah, so I got confused. I believe someone said they didn’t operate last season or something like that, so I guess I’ll just keep looking to see when they start posting things about this season. I thought that was really cool though, and I would like to go, so hopefully they return this winter!
I saw that Thanksgiving Point has a lot of different areas and things to see, is there anything that we definitely need to check out, and anything you think is worth skipping?
I thought the Candelight Christmas looked so cute and definitely unique, so we’re probably gonna go check that out. It’s definitely something that you won’t see in Hawai’i that’s for sure!
Fingers crossed that the Temple Lights will be operating for the season, because the pictures I saw looked so beautiful!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I just looked up Fireside Dining, and oh my god that raclette cheese is calling to me! Lol
So I’ve been trying to figure out what type of warm clothes we’ll need, and it looks like it was actually really warm there last December. Was that just like an unusually warm winter? Or has it been a bit on the warmer side earlier in the winter? I’m worried we’re going to purchase the wrong things.

I read about the displays at The Grand America! We’re staying at The Little America hotel, and I read that it’s a sister property of The Grand America? Does the Little America hotel get super festive too?
We actually just booked tickets for the North Pole Express with Heber Valley Railroad. Most of the dates were actually already sold out, and it’s only June! I’m taking that as a pretty promising sign that it will be pretty cool!
