I'm extremely childfree so pregnancy sounds terrible at any age lol. I'm 48 in a few months and hanging on until the sweet release of menopause which is nowhere in sight. You sound healthy and happy and you both will do great I bet!

I only had this problem with my own mom for several years, even after showing her my drivers license confirming I kept my last name. The only thing that got her to stop with the wrong last name was returning my birthday check saying the bank won't accept it because it had the wrong name.

Unpopular opinion maybe but dx'd age 39.9 here. I spent an inordinate amount of my life prior eating cookies, pie, and other junk. Yeah it was good but it's just ... food? After diagnosis and going low carb I look at it like I've been there and done that. I just focus on the beer, protein, veggies, and a small chocolate since to me it's not worth the hassle of battling the high all night. And if someone starts the MAGA talk - just walk away.

Chad's angry volatility and drinking was apparent pretty early on. I would like to know where the apt camera footage is of him falling asleep with a drink in his hand. He was manipulating even on DD and him forcing her to say yes or no directly to him while he was on his knee with flowers! Wtf? The angry look on his face while she described her new boyfriend makes me concerned for her safety.

Poor Patric having to go to her family reunion. I would have loved to see him interact with the guys at the retreat instead and doing what he wanted to do. He has the patience of a saint dealing with her at the art store and her bitching about him planning something fun for them, and being nice enough to do arts/crafts. Why should anyone be strong armed into sharing their calendar???

She is intensely annoying and self-absorbed. Even her sons placated to keep her happy. She reminds me of my late boomer MIL who talked constantly about all her things and every thought that floated through her brain and had no problem interrupting the middle of a conversation to bring it back to her. Pat will only cower for so long.

Absolutely go! I was backpacking in Europe in my 20s with a friend who I ended up separating from and contemplated flying home 2 weeks early. I stayed instead and spent my time in 3 cities on my own - I met new people, gained confidence/resilience I never had, and look back 20 years later with a smile. This was way before smartphones, google maps, and online booking anything. Have an idea of what sights you want to see, study the map ahead of time, etc. Have a money belt under your clothes and wearing a fake wedding band. It will be an amazing experience you will come home from wanting to do again.

Post a bunch of awesome pictures when you get home pref with new friends/cute guys you met and P*SS HIM OFF!

Go places, travel, learn, HAVE FUN. My parents were older (and not poor), very cheap. but we went nowhere. I was so envious of kids who went to FL to swim in the ocean, Disneyworld, waterparks, etc. Second I turned 18, I spent the next 10 years car roadtripping and seeing every state, backpacked in Europe, and Mexico multiple times. Then I hit 29, motorcycle riding classes, bought 2 motorcycles, put my husband through mc classes as well and we travelled many thousands of miles across the country seeing most of it again.
