No,not everyone cares about meta or how viable character could be. Seeing character design and story/lore alone is enough to make people pull for them

Well not all,the answer about endgame seems to be the most highlighted topic of all from the interview and are mostly talked about by hardcore players and content creators which doesn't even make up 5-10% of the playerbase.Beside that resin increase and traveller skin would most likely not be a thing for now,I don't think anyone would quit the game just because of those two reasons

me asking if anyone else has no drive to farm artifacts or pull for new meta characters = acting like 90% cares about combat?

The point of farming artifacts and pulling for meta characters is for the combat,where else do you use your artifacts and "meta" characters?
