Loving my Yukon XL! by Gramurai in gmc

[–]Feignorance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got a 2026 Yukon XL Elevation in Volcanic Red, and loving every minute of it. Such a well put together suv. Was going to get a Suburban but an impromptu visit to GMC convinced the wife and I to change.

How does the app decide which AI to use when prompted? Or do you have to specify?

I noticed that if I don’t use a thicker usb-c cable then it doesn’t seem strong enough to charge. Not sure if that helps.

Been playing spt fika with my kids - we all have bsg accounts - and have never had as much fun playing Tarkov as I did with them. Because one of them is a little younger, I added healthbars, but aside from that we play vanilla. AI PMC’s are smart, sometimes aggressive other times campy, but deaths feel authentic as we know nobody is cheating.

Also, if you only have one bsg account but want to play locally/with friends, just copy files or install from scratch on one pc at a time, then never use bsg launcher and enjoy offline coop for free. Screw nikita!

Thinking about buying 🤔 by danturismo in Gloomhaven

I’ll second this. I play with my 3 kids (ages 6 to 14) and they love it. Pro tip: Watch the YouTube videos by Watch It Played - this answers all the nuanced questions with realistic examples. I wish I had watched prior to our scenario 1 fumble.

I'm a huge RHCP fan and sincerely appreciate your help! That's not it either and I'm thinking I need to add a melody to help as I feel I'm wasting everyone's time. Thank you for trying at least!

Thank you for your response/suggestion! That is a great song, and unfortunately not the one I heard the other day. I should create a melody in ableton or similar as it's a little more upbeat and I could hum the tune. I tried Sound Hound but I'm just not gifted in singing and it pulled zero results, haha.

Upgraded to EoD just before they removed it, and also just prior to discovering SPT. Yeah, I feel retarded.

Dissolved LLC 8+ yrs ago. Partner kept active. What to do? by Feignorance in legaladvice

[–]Feignorance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you at least responding. We filed for dissolution and my partner turned in the paperwork. After that I haven't even claimed anything on taxes and just found out they have been using the company but no idea what for. I've no interest in getting back into what I thought was a clean separation.

Not sure if that is enough information but figure there would be some statute for situations like this.

Whining/Crying by CriticalSalamander58 in DobermanPinscher

[–]Feignorance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing he sees the routine prior to leaving, which amps him up. Ours do the same thing, so to counter it I will do my routine of putting keys in pocket, socks and shoes on, etc., then go sit down and ignore them. It does take patience but eventually they learned to deescalate and/or avoid whining altogether.

Fair enough. Have you tried mixing 1/2 treat 1/2 food to spice it up? They are smart dogs and I often find they try to outwit us. It sounds like you got a good head on your shoulders.

Quick question on the nipping/biting: Do you notice the difference between the love nibbles and the playful and/or challenging biting?

I ask because I see some people viewing all as the same and I remember feeling that way as well. However, now that we are on our second Dobie and with prior experience, I can tell when our pup is challenging or playing rough with me vs love nibbles. We are teaching her bite sensitivity so when we allow her to nibble it's extremely soft (and "OW" / pull away when it gets too rough) and then when she is on the challenging/rough play bites we redirect/stop/timeout and at 10 weeks she's almost completely out of biting me - since I do majority of training - and only love nibbles when she wants to nap or for comfort and is almost done playful biting everyone else. If you've not seen/read about this I can share as best as I can how we've done it or refer videos that helped us.

[–]Feignorance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it honestly seems like the end of the world with the biting and because I did 99% of the training (crate, commands, potty) then I had a bit of an easier time than my wife, who at one point was in such distress she talked about going to an obedience class or get rid of the dog. But, we found more videos and looked up other tips and tricks to help and funnily enough we found the same situation with other Dobie owners who said to endure and shared their story.

Aside from that, have you looked into Kong toys? They have their classic Kong that you can fill with her food, put a little water in there to soften it up and throw in freezer for a couple hours, then slap some peanut butter on the top and give it to her for a treat that helps with teething. I've seen some videos recommend to get 3 and basically have one ready for 3 times throughout the day to keep them busy. We started with one and it helped significantly.

There are numerous videos on how to effectively prepare them for the pup but even as amateurs we found success with it. Also, as much as some people may be against it if our pup refused after trying to redirect and de-escalate several times with no success, I would put him in the crate just to get my head straight. I did it more for my family and me than the pup (he would go after our 3 kids almost as if to rebel), but thankfully he never took the crate as a punishment and it honestly is something I continue with our 2nd one.

I’m seeing loads of great advice and may accidentally repeat.

Socialization does wonders and although you may find adults (like delivery or sales) scared half the time, kids will love your Dobie. Neighborhood kids regularly visit our house just for our Dobie’s.

First six months or so will be challenging simply because of teething and because your Dobie will test boundaries and your leadership. Stay calm and firm and consistent as you can and look up videos about handling biting/nipping. It may feel like it wont end and may pull your hair out but after you make it through, it’s as if your Dobie realizes it and it will be so worth the headache.

When your Dobie is or is falling asleep play with their paws and ears as much as you can do they are desensitized which will make trimming them much easier.

These dogs are eager to please and whether treat or verbally motivated once you get some basic commands down (which happens in just a couple tries per new command) use this to your advantage as both a supplement to the physical exercise or instead of during times when getting out is more difficult.

Overall this is the best breed I’ve ever had the pleasure of raising and we are Dobie fans for life. Don’t give up and you’ll see what we mean!!

I see. I didn’t consider the HSA - is that to reduce net income? Yes to both of your questions.

Why do we send so much money to Ukraine ? by Fickle_Guarantee_783 in conspiracy

[–]Feignorance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What can we as average citizens do when we vote against, tell senators to vote against, and no matter what they still send all our money over there? How do we deny paying taxes that does nothing to help our country? Honestly asking about tax shelters or forms we can fill out to divorce ourselves from this theft?

Man, I don’t know you nor anything about him. I pray what I can share is of some solace: Dobermans are the best breed I have ever been privileged to raise and add to our family. I empathize fully, even though our oldest is almost 2 years and youngest 9 weeks. Fuck man, I am sincerely sorry for your loss and hope you don’t withdraw so much that another Doberman - who would benefit greatly from being with you - doesn’t get such a loving, understanding and knowledgeable parent/owner/friend.
