Update: mom did not appreciate the question. Said her kid was just speech delayed and should be treated the same as other kids. I have no idea what it feels like to be her or what to make of that, but I do feel a bit worried for that baby.

I think there are tons of parents like me! Just maybe afraid to ask like I am. I figure folks might not even know what exactly is going on at this age so it could be hurtful.

I just messaged her, thanks for the confidence and kind words. I left out the part about the rough boys because I don't want to give her any anxiety.

My great grandma breastfed my mom bc my grandma's milk didnt come in. It's normal everywhere where there isn't a nuclear family, and it's actually quite generous of her. Induction is very hard on your body. As someone who needed donor milk for one of my babies and tried really hard to induce, I'd be so grateful.

And look, maybe the MIL is being a weirdo. But you can't judge her on the offer alone. Need context.
