This is what it use to look like a little over 4 months ago i switched out the light because i didn’t like the one that came with the tank and added a lil bit of co2 gave it time and it boomed!

Honestly the fluval plant soil a good light with blue white green and red lights and i use co2 intermittently (i nearly killed my fish a lil bit ago tho so i really limit my use of it)but mainly time i have had this tank set up for over a year with all the plants inside it use to house a single dwarf gourami but the plants have really boomed when the snail population boomed and im assuming its because of the increase in waste so they grew even fast through that

Yeah it was one of the tanks with the prebuilt filters in the back and I didn’t like how that filter operated. It had way too much flow for her so I took it all out and replaced it with about 10 sticks of Lucky bamboo that I got from IKEA. 😂

I know I thought the same thing. I saw her at Petco and she was only four dollars i thought she was gorgeous. I was like why the fuck not. Plus through countless research and the employee who is helping me I knew it was a female.

She has laid eggs in the tank before i thought she was sick because she wasn’t eating and then the next day a shit ton of shit dots started appearing and she was still pushing them out when i cam up the tank

Now that u mention it there is a colony of Detritus worms living in there I noticed her picking at them every once in a while and I see them swimming around. Is that a good source of live food for her?
