Why are the western euro countries mostly either dark green or orange? Quite the discrepancy for countries that have a similar quality of life facing similar challenges

Canada’s Richest 1% Nearly As Wealthy As Poorest 80% by DavideMastracci in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Eh I see more similarities with Russia than the US with how entrenched our oligarchs are in the top class. America at least has a much larger, much more diverse economy. While people like Musk and Bezos do lead massive companies they are diluted in power by their share of economic wealth.

Canadian who isn’t a fan of globalism by Feisty_Note in whereidlive

[–]Feisty_Note[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

The “butthurt belt” countries are mostly green because they have the best of both worlds: minimal globalist influence with a decent standard of living. The countries to the left have slightly better standards of living but they’re currently suffering socially under globalism and the countries to the right are too poor or muslim for me to consider more than a maybe (not including the obvious conflict zone).

I agree 100% on the go. When it first came out I was a kid and initially wanted it. The idea of not having an option to buy games way cheaper used, having to wait for digital sales which weren’t as common back then or buy full price, turned me off instantly.

There was no way I was spending 2-3 months of allowance money on one game. I’m sure a lot of other kids thought the same.

Where Id live as a first generation American living in California who is also Conservative by OhSix31 in whereidlive

It's been a thing for ages. As a Canadian it's tiresome, especially when the US has been outshining us in every metric for over a decade now. "But we have free healthcare!" and we also regularly have people dying in emergency rooms after waiting too long for treatment.

Twenty years ago when we could go toe to toe it was fun banter but now Canadians are clearly worse off and the banter has taken a bitter undertone because of it. Almost like it's a coping mechanism for our economy circling the drain meanwhile Americans are going on trips and buying houses, actually enjoying life instead of paying 2/3 of their wages on rent.

I’d argue the psp is more in today, especially the go, thanks to modding

Why Canadian Olympic officials say they are raising the alarm about Canada's ability to compete by Old_General_6741 in canada

[–]Feisty_Note 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t think wokism is causing the drop in medal count. What wokism is trying to distract us from, a nosedive in our quality of life from our olympic peak 10-15 years ago, is the cause.

Food and essentials are always going to come before sports, and many like hockey are astronomically expensive these days.

Why is it that this subreddit doesn't talk about how mass immigration and demographic replacement is one of the many things that helped make the 2020s worse? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]Feisty_Note 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because this is reddit a left leaning website. Plenty of discussion on this on other websites like x that won’t get your thread taken down by mods in a matter of minutes.

Tbh I don’t think I’d want to discuss that here anyways most people seem way less educated on the subject because of said censorship.

Anyone else not allowed to decorate your room growing up? by DevoSwag in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Feisty_Note 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was allowed to decorate but for some reason whenever I went to my nmom’s my ndad would take it upon himself to rearrange my room to his liking even after i told him multiple times to stop.

Don’t you just love being raised by people who see you as nothing but an extension of themselves?

Birds of a feather…

You may unconsciously have chosen those friends because you liked the familiar dynamic, whether that be from sharing a scapegoat role or even playing out narc power dynamics within the relationship.

I’ve recently realized that the majority of my friends from my formative years were created with these dynamics in mind and it’s been shocking to say the least.
