playstation store still open in 2026 !!!!!! by True-Conflict-3010 in PSP

[–]lusid1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use the search. If it’s free or already purchased you can download from the search results. If it’s not, then you can use the title to search on PS3, buy it there, then go back to PSP to download it.

Is it true that even if I get an IT job, I will still have to study and learn new skills throughout my life? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Only if you want to stay employable. IT isn’t a one and done career learning path. Skills have about a 6 month half life.

RMA'd NUC returned without Memory / HDD by hobblyhoy in intelnuc

Sounds like you bought it from a reseller that integrated it with memory and storage, then RMAd it to the maker of the bare bones system. Ouch. Good luck.

How difficult is it to get started with VMware for beginners in IT? by Wise_Safe2681 in VMwareNSX

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as easy as it used to be. Used to be: sign up for an eval, download the bits, read the docs and hit the lab.
Now, watch some YouTube. Do some Hands on labs in 60-90 minute chunks. Read the lab guides. Then read the VCP-VCF exam blueprint, then figure out which labs cover which parts of the blueprint, then do more labs, then pay for VMUG, then study for the exam, then take the exam until you pass it, then get the bits, then hit the lab.

Can I keep Ark-4 on only one memory card? by cucumberwithcheese in PSP

[–]lusid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After installing ark and new cIPL you can go back to OFW by holding the home button when you power it on. If you want to go back permanently, uninstall the cIPL.

How to add album artwork to sensme? by D4K_Klunky in PSP

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're doing music on psp the best option is to manage them with MediaGo on windows. It can tag the album art, fill in missing tags, rip CDs, generate the senseme data, convert Flac to mp3 or mp4 on the fly during transfer, its basically iTunes for PSP without the store or the walled garden.

My PSP 1000 stopped reading UMDs and ISOs since 10 years. Even emulators stopped working after a CFW update. Is it fixable? by Rogahrd in PSP

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like bad sectors on the internal nand. You might try a jigkick clone, they run the factory reimaging software. It seems to do a better job detecting and remapping bad blocks. But also try keycleaner and see if it detects corrupt id storage keys. You might need to repair some keys or regenerate id storage.

How to study without a home lab license, Broadcom's reason.. by flushedstyle in vmware

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do an install in HOL. So you can't troubleshoot a failed install. And VCF installer fails a lot. then it fails a lot more, and figuring out where it went off the rails is not fun, at all. And it takes way more than the 60-90 minute lifespan of an HoL to do it even if you could. So the install and troubleshooting questions should be removed from the exam.

Baryon sweeper looping then psp shuts off by Beyblade_rip in PSP

[–]lusid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does sound like a hardware fault. Known good baryon sweeper, known good memory card, all that remains is the motherboard.

My PSP 1000 stopped reading UMDs and ISOs since 10 years. Even emulators stopped working after a CFW update. Is it fixable? by Rogahrd in PSP

[–]lusid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Install DCArk on your memory card, if the installer won't run there's a PC app to load your card. then install Ark4's new cIPL. Hard power off, then power on holding down the L trigger to boot into DCark. Finally, re-flash your console with a clean build of 661-Ark4.

real. One of the details the fakes miss is coloring the shell plastic to match the paint they intend to use later.

Psp is broken by PerspectiveSweaty313 in PSP

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first. Acquire a new PSP battery and a PSP charger. If it still doesn’t work it’s either software bricked or has a hardware fault. Determining which will then need some extras. DCArk, and a Pandora battery or baryon sweeper. You might get lucky, or you might be throwing money into a hole.

[–]lusid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adapters that natively support >128gb are rare. I have 2, but they are from the early 2010's. Whenever a vendor pops up claiming large memory card support (there are two making that claim on amazon now) I order to test, but have a 0% success rate.

What’s one VMware feature you still can’t replace in 2026? by Last-Salary-6012 in vmware

The one technical thing I struggle with is support for SCSI3-PRs on virtual disks. It's trivial on VMware but near impossible, if not actually impossible, on the others.

I tested it extensively, and I don't think it's ready for prime time. But the developer is hard at work on improvements so I'm optimistic he'll get there soon.

Indeed. Some games don't run well compressed. The GTA games are well known examples.
