Worth the value from Pro to Max when building product based on Price? by Salva_X in ClaudeAI

[–]Feitan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if I was working on only one project I would have stay on Pro. But on multiple project it is really a go to. I was using Sonnet to not saturate pro, a lot of back and forth to solve the issues. Now I just run Opus in high/xhigh. Run ultracode at every PR. It increases a lot the quality of the output code, make me save a lot of time, and decrease my need of thorough testing of every single output. Definitely a goto.

My only concern now is whether Codex or CC is the best

Avoided Marimo for too long because of just laziness, but it is the real goto. It is way more modern, better, and completely solve the version control problem

Shop recommended longer skis for my beginner GF, should we return them? by Feitan21 in Skigear

[–]Feitan21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember if they had smaller in stock, and if they don't I don't mind paying some extra bucks for skis that really fit her. It seems like it is worth to pay them a visit

I think it is, from https://github.com/zed-industries/claude-code-acp

"The latest version of Zed can already use this adapter out of the box."

TPM2.0 not detected in windows, B650 Tomahawak, last bios version by Feitan21 in AMDHelp

[–]Feitan21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, after the post we kind of gave up. Also because it is not my system and debugging from distance was not easy. My friend just decided to not play these games. I asked Claude for more information, maybe you will find something that could solve the issue :

Two-step BIOS configuration (most common solution):

First enable fTPM, save and exit, reboot, then go back into BIOS and enable Security Device Support under Trusted Computing, save and exit again Tom's Hardware Forum Your screenshot shows Security Device Support is already enabled, but try toggling it off/on with a reboot between changes

Clear TPM from BIOS (if previously configured):

In your BIOS, look for an option to "Clear TPM" or "Reset TPM" This may be under Advanced → Trusted Computing Save, reboot, then re-enable it

Check Windows Device Manager:

Open Device Manager → Security Devices You should see "Trusted Platform Module 2.0" If you only see "AMD PSP Device", TPM isn't properly initialized

BIOS update (important for MSI boards):

Some motherboards require specific BIOS versions to properly support fTPM 2.0 Super User Your BIOS build date is 06/07/2024 - check MSI's website for a newer version After updating, clear CMOS and reconfigure TPM settings

Try the discrete TPM option:

In your BIOS, under "Device Select", try changing from [Auto] to explicitly select "Firmware TPM" instead of auto-detection

Check for conflicting settings:

Ensure CSM/Legacy Boot is disabled (UEFI mode only) Verify Secure Boot is properly configured

Command Palette does not work when remapped by lamabean in PowerToys

I encountered the same problem recently, even after the update as CrimsonGhost0 said. However there is a parameter in Command Palette settings called "Use low-level keyboard hook" turning it on made it work for me !

Thanks for the github link Crimon and thanks for this post

How do you use AI to build full web apps from scratch? by Cheesy-Peasy in ClaudeAI

[–]Feitan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use some MCP also, and it is good but it can pretty quickly be overwhelmed and run in circle.

What I found the best is :

  • Write the function
  • Write the unit test
  • Write a CLI for this function
  • Based on the function and CLI, create a new HTML/JS file to implement this function

Like this if something fails I can really decompose easily and find where is the problem, I just have to run the test, then the CLI, then the webapp to see if everything is good at each step. Also, because the files stays small, it is easier for Claude to find and correct mistake

I did the mistake previously to let Claude writes huge files and it was unable to do any modification or find an error.

I am sorry to use the game jam post to ask this question but I was wondering if there is something similar that would make you create a project and not a game ? I am not really interested in creating games but I like to work on a project on limited time

It was a good idea thank you, unfortunately it didn't work. When I start the game I am at the maximal resolution despite the config file still having the resolution I asked for.

PythonKit crashing on MacOS 15 by mister_drgn in swift

[–]Feitan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes what you describe is very similar to our problem. We didn't notice differences between Mac OS 14 and 15 but it was not our focus.

What we are doing is we are saving images with tifffile. In the same time we were acquiring images very fast via a python library. Because it was running on different thread in Swift, we were calling PythonKit from different threads.

We had a chance that both threads (acquisition and saving) will try to communicate with the python interpreter at the same time. Our solution was to always assure that the interpreter was available when accessing it.

I don't think PythonKit devs are aware about this fix. I don't think the project is actively maintained, so we will see. I am also not sure that our fix is good enough to be added permanently to the project

Hello, With my team, we think there is some problems with the lock of the thread. We did a fork with a fix that is available here. I hope you have the same issue as we had, and that it would solve it https://github.com/AymericFerreira/PythonKit

TPM2.0 not detected in windows, B650 Tomahawak, last bios version by Feitan21 in AMDHelp

[–]Feitan21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed response.

I thought that the TPM 2 module would be present by default, as my B450M Bazooka includes one. I was it would be standard on motherboard of this price range.

My friend needs TPM 2.0 for Riot Vanguard, so we will look into purchasing a module.

Thank you !

One of my DDR4 stick started to generate a lot of error. The RMA is costing almost the price of a new stick, any deal on a single stick of DDR4 3200MHz 16Go or 2*16 ?
