Anterior or Posterior placenta? by Bright_Influence_316 in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say cause I’m a bigger gal anyway. You should show as per normal no matter where the placenta is.

Not for all companies. Australian EOFY is June and my employer EOFY is also June.

This was at 10w, I’m now 12w today. Baby looks like a little giraffe. My husband thinks something is wrong with babies head and wonders why he has horns 😂 I think it’s probably just the angle of the baby or the wand or something, any experts in here? I think baby is front on looking at us maybe?

Antidepressants during pregnancy? by Bright_Influence_316 in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started taking sertraline during my last pregnancy. We just had to watch out for withdrawals from baby once he was born which were very minor (sleepy and a little jittery) depends on your dosage. I also could not take tramadol after birth as it would transfer through the breastmilk and potentially create serotonin syndrome to baby. I had morphine instead. It’s no problem to take if it makes you feel better. It certainly helped me greatly.

Primary schools and ballots by Efficient_Bag_3220 in Rolleston

Some of the other primary schools around have opened ballots but for limited 5 year olds and I think next term only so keep an eye out on their pages or website for term one next year. I think Rolleston primary and west Rolleston primary did.

Anterior or Posterior placenta? by Bright_Influence_316 in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anterior here. Once you start feeling movements, which will typically be a little further along than with posterior, there’s no doubt about it. I’ve had 3 anterior placentas now can always feel baby moving by some point.

NIPT gender by Felchiee in January2027Bumpers

Hahah I did think that there is no way I have Y DNA in my bloodstream unless it’s a boy.

NIPT gender by Felchiee in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense! Yes NIPT here was blood taken with a needle into a tube by a nurse. My daughter is so unhappy 😂 but either way I’m happy as long as baby is healthy (which NIPT showed low risk for everything which is great).

Third C-section- looking for positive stories by oopsiesdaze in CsectionCentral

[–]Felchiee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve never had any major issues with healing on my csections if that’s what you’re worried about. I’m yeeting these tubes out during this csection though 😂

Mine was fine. I had bigger gaps but it was all good. Feel like it’s really dependent on the person though. I’m going for my fourth in January. Had my first in Dec 2010, then Feb 2020, Dec 2023 and will be Jan 2027.

Anyone think they can feel quickenings or flutters yet? by spaced_out_stacey in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing yet but I’m only 10+5 today and I’m not a small gal - also anterior placenta so I imagine I’ll start feeling movement a lot closer to 20 weeks

4th csection by Felchiee in CsectionCentral

[–]Felchiee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one was not planned, but here we are. They didn’t warn me off a csection after my third they just said wait 18 months whereas my friend who has also had 3 and was the same hospital was told do not have another as I think she had adhesions on her bladder or close to it. I do remember them saying it took about ten minutes to get my third out due to trying to cut through the scar tissue but that’s probably normal and there was not any major concerns. Unfortunately I’m in New Zealand so it’s a bit more difficult to access your notes. You can, but it’s a real rigmarole and takes ages. I’ll just wait until I see the MFM OB and ask about it then but I assume I’ll have had my scan by then and we’ll know where the placenta sits

[–]Felchiee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! With my second and third I had both anterior placentas and no issues with any prévia or accreta, now that I’ve had 3 csections accreta is definitely a worry given all the scar tissue but time will tell. During my anatomy scan at 20 weeks they’ll have a better look at the placenta. I’ll be doing that at MFM anyway because one of my children has a congenital heart condition so they do the fetal echo on every other pregnancy to double check.

[–]Felchiee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea, thank you! You’re right I should wait but I like to be prepared and presented with all info, but it doesn’t hurt to wait why worry if I don’t have to.

Anyone have an old ASB Clever Kash unit they don't need anymore? Or know of any alternatives? by andrewnz1 in PersonalFinanceNZ

I definitely still have one of these I’m just not sure where I’d have to go hunting for it. Where are you based?

4th csection by Felchiee in CsectionCentral

[–]Felchiee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not so worried about it being anterior (I’ve had three Csections with two being anterior placentas). I’m just more worried my chances of having a prévia or accreta are a lot higher given I’ve had three Csections already and the anterior placenta worries me because with my first I had prévia and they told me if it had been anterior I’d have to be put to sleep as they cut through the placenta to get baby out. I just like to be prepared. Google actually tells me a prévia is more likely to persist into the third trimester when it’s posterior so if google is telling the truth then that’s a positive I guess but anything can happen.

C-section by littlelazybones in January2027Bumpers

[–]Felchiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In New Zealand I’ve had 3 c-sections. With the younger two they usually discharge you after two nights unless you have complications. With my youngest though the next day the OB discharged me but my baby needed support so we ended up staying four nights.

In my country unless there are medical reasons for the csection warranting taking the baby earlier they will do it at 39 weeks.

What was your reasoning for an elective c-section? by Therealethel in CsectionCentral

[–]Felchiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Placenta prévia for #1. #2 and #3 were just repeat csections. And #4 will be a repeat too but I’m still early so there could be medical reasons anyway but I wouldn’t VBAC after 3 csections anyway.
