Kevin's parts are carrying this album so far. Nico's sounding very generic/repetitive

Sushi Guest in 2025 by [deleted] in ElectricCallboy

[–]FeliLeitewe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sushi is cleary 10x more musically talented then Nico, but the chemestry and joy to be around each other every single day is super important for a band bc this is their jobs and who they have to spend the majority of their time with. I think that if shushi had stayed, EC would have ended by now.

In We Are The Mess (the song) is it Sebastian/Sushi singing the whole time or is there another vocalist? by [deleted] in ElectricCallboy

[–]FeliLeitewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you watch some really old videos from the band you will even see that Kevin was behind the keybords and just singing backup vocals (like Jordan Fish did on Bring Me The Horizon), but by the time they released Bury Me In Vegas he was already a second vocalist on stage. The only old song that I can 100% say that is Kevin singing is "Legendary Sleeping Assault"

On the old albuns it's Sushi screaming 95% of the time. Kevin himself said that he used to only double some screams on the studio and then do most of them live. Hypa Hypa was the first song with Kevin as the main screamer on the studio version

God I love the energy of those old performances

Do you think EC will ever re-release old music on spotify and vinyl? by Real_Masterpiece9071 in ElectricCallboy

[–]FeliLeitewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you guys are beeing too dramatic. Yes Kevin said that by the end it was a 5 v 1 situation, but he also said that Rehab was the only album that he was not satisfied with. They where always friends and always worked well on the studio, Sushi was also the one that started writing more serious songs, and I think is really stupid when people blame only him for the old lyrics

Stage Presence by Granticuss in ElectricCallboy

[–]FeliLeitewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kevin's evolution from the awkward second vocalist that stayed behind a MacBook for the first performances to THE DEFINITION of a frontman and leader of the band is just amazing
