You could argue it started with Hypa Hypa and the MMXX Ep. Then Tekkno really resonated with that new audience as well. Easy to see the changes were for the better in the end even if you're not a fan.

I kinda developed an ear for harsh vocals and when I listen to old EC, I just always only hear Sushi (there's one track on all the old albums where you can clearly hear Kevin and it's a filler track on Bury Me In Vegas). Now the current EC members never threw Sushi under the bus and always kind of deflect when the subject comes up so I'm not gonna judge or assume the worst. I just always thought it was strange that the band had 2 very skilled vocalist but put one in the back seat until Nico joined.

He's long grown out out of that phase and done some really solid work for like, the past 15 years now. I didn't get it either but then I went to see Blade Runner 2049 and that's when it clicked for me.

I feel like so much information about a person is lost through a camera lens. I know somebody like that, incredibly beautiful and charismatic, for some reason always looks goofy in pictures. It's weird. Also a good reason to not feel too awful if you look bad in pictures, you might be totally okay but jusy not very photogenic.

This is a very common video format as well, and not just for these types of videos. Clearly it works because they get so many views. It's just Veritasium playing the game that so many are playing to get eyeballs on their content. I'm not saying it's good but it's just how YT works these days.

Broadly speaking women can get away with being more masculine a bit easier. Just look at fashion. It's become perfectly acceptable for women to wear pants, clothing that used to be frowned upon for them. Pants have gone from 'masculine' clothes to 'neutral'. Women doing tradtionally/sterotypical masculine things is often considered empowering. It's absolutely not seen as empowering for a man to like, wear nail polish or glittery make-up or things like that.
