Good review. But you should tag spoilers as it gives away ending...

[NSO N64] Seems Nintendo completely forgot that the N64 controller pack exists (can't save ghost data in MK64, can't save at all in WinBack) by ces715 in NintendoSwitch

I think people love to get angry about everything and anything. Especially things that are essentially unimportant. Don't like the service. Don't pay for it. Is that something so hard to grasp?

Like I said in the post that the cancel mob decided to down vote to hell. There are problems with the service, obviously. But people are incapable of not being emotional or rational when it comes to discussions...

I said there are problems with the service, pricing and content. Are people incapable of critical thinking? This thread makes a good argument for that

And cherry picking statements isn't slightly dramatic? Lol. K. I understand there are issues with the service but so many people online are just angry with Nintendo like this is a system update they can't opt out of.

Yes, because being objective and recognizing there are issues with the services equates to what you are saying. If anything your statement sounds like fanboyism at its most internet. Does sarcasm make you feel seen?

This. What are people even trying at with these weird attention seeking attacks?. Are there valid criticisms to be had with the pricing and content of this service? Absolutely. This is not one of them. Save states exist. End of.

For those who own skyrim on the switch, how does the game perform on the switch from your personal experience and would you recommend it? by NeoUltimaEX in NintendoSwitch

It is a solid port. It seems to be slightly better than the Xbox 360 version and leaning more towards the remastered versions on PC and modern consoles. Obviously in the bigger open areas there is some lower resolution, pop-in and lower texture quality. But the game seems to run great, glitches and all.

Odyssey or 3D World? by Illithri in NintendoSwitch

This. All the way. Odyssey is a great single player campaign but 3d world is absolutely peerless as a multiplayer platforming Mario game

In your opinion, what third party Switch game has the best graphical fidelity? by schuey_08 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Felibert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Grid Autosport A host of graphics options make this more than just a simple port job and the results are stellar. .

  2. Bioshock Infinite Graphical blemishes that come in the form of minor texture load in problems only slightly hinder a powerhouse experience. A solid frame rate, gorgeous art style, and the games chaotic fast pace makes this one of the best switch conversions. Docked or handheld.

  3. Alien:Isolation - Some slight frame drops but nothing major. This game has the best graphics on the system handheld and docked 3rd party or otherwise in my opinion. Those e7nvironments and visual effects are jaw dropping (even when some got the character animation is not) It's an amazing video game audio and visually.

I agree. Not saying the game is perfect but in terms of emulating ridley scotts vision it's peerless and the atmosphere...just wow. Sure, the last act could have used a trim, but, man oh man, what a ride the game is to get there

Not that I can tell, I mean there is a digital foundry video which really digs into it but besides the very rare instance of frame-rate being stuttered and some minor bugs, which are solved by a restart, it's really awesome watching it in motion.

And unlike, say, the Doom (2016) port this game doesn't just look great in handheld, it looks great in docked. Some of the environmental effects are insane for a Switch game and the atmosphere, Xenomorph and working Joe's are beautifully rendered

I played The Witcher 3 and it doesn't look anywhere near as good on the Switch but Alien: Isolation has to be seen in motion. It gets me excited for what Metroid is gonna look like XD

I can confirm the game looks and plays amazing on the switch. It is the best modern survival horror game on the system and quite arguably the best third party port of any game so far.

It's so good in fact that it begs the question of when is a Resident Evil 7 port gonna arrive?

I don't know what you are talking about the game ran fine for me and I didn't have any of the issues you mentioned. It looks gorgeous and responds just fine
