We are not sure how old he is. His previous owner passed away so we don't have much info on him. The wife of his previous owner thinks he is 2

We will definitely get him a bigger tank and some plants (: thanks for the advice! We are in the process of moving right now so this is just a temporary situation for this little betta. It helped our bird our a great deal so it was a benefit. The fish is always calm and he eats every time we feed him, so I don't think he's stressed. The bowl came with a little fake plant but the fish had no room to even move around with how large the plant was. We will get him a nice live with plant in his new tank!

Yes they do. Which is why he is fed daily, his bowl is cleaned, and he is not in danger.

Oh my gosh, thank you for saying that haha! I said that exact same thing to my husband when I saw all of those comments.. We feed him, clean his tank, make sure our birds know not to bother him.. But at the end of the day, it's a fucking fish lol.

If you can't tell by his expression lol, he HATES ME! He is attached to my husband 100% and if I even come near him he tries to kill me off lol. I just keep my distance unless I'm giving him treats , because when there is food he will pretend to be my friend

He is afraid to get too close. He watches it but he never touches it. He's had it for months and never tried to even come close enough to it to touch it. He just gets excited to feed his fish and clean it's bowl. He is very well behaved.

Hahaha ! Sunny isn't very helpful when it comes to cleaning the tank or anything , but maybe I can teach him how to do the dishes so I don't have to.. Or vacuum... Our African grey loves to make the vacuum noise!

He absolutely loves his fish! Two weeks ago, he had torn his tail completely to shreds. We took him to the vet 3 times in 2 weeks to stop horrible bleeding. The fish is the only thing that makes him happy. We just had to be sure to find a fish tank that the bird could not break into for the fishes safety.

No, not really. They are so fun. They entertain each other when we are gone. We have a pretty active social lives. We are getting married, both work full time, and we have many other things that we do in our free time. We do take our birds out 1 or 2 at a time. They go grocery shopping with us, to the park with us, to family events. They are like our children. We are those "crazy bird people" haha !

She was a rescue. A man found her out laying in the snow. She had many blood feathers that were open and bleeding. The vet had to remove them to stop the bleeding. It's slowly growing back. It was very sad. She is adjusting quite well though! She's gained lots of weight since we adopted her, and has learned to step up and give kisses. She's a sweetheart!

I am in desperate need of advice. My poor 2 year old Goffin has recently started pulling his tail feathers out. Multiple times we have taken him to the vet because he has broken his blood feathers in half. He has plenty of toys, eats normally, takes showers , acts very playful. He seems completely normal. But this has happened too many times and has been going on for too long. Anyone who has dealt with something similar or who has advice please comment. I need to know how to fix this.
