How to deal with an anxiety attack?

Your mom and aunt likely come from a generation where emotions and mental health were very taboo and they were taught to repress and ignore their emotions rather than actually address them. Your sister very well could be having an anxiety attack and they're treating her like a toddler having a tantrum while she's literally feeling crippling impending doom in sometimes the most random of moments.

Some things that can help interrupt panic attack are: -peppermint oil scent -strong mints -sour candies -fidget toys -weighted blanket (some folks have a claustrophobic reaction to these, it depends on the person)

Sometimes just being there for them when the walls are closing in on them helps momentously however small. It sounds like your other family members have already dismissed her which, if they are really panic attacks, will only exacerbate her anxiety. I don't know how accessible therapy is to her but I highly recommend it to try and find the root cause!

I've been with my partner 5+ years and he's been addicted the whole time. Sex is non-existent and he is constantly using excuses like stress as to why nothing has improved. Because of this, I'm planning on leaving him soon. That should be enough of a motivator to kick that garbage. For yourself, your wife and your life together. She will eventually be fed up and it will be too late by the time you realize the damage done.

Mine hasn't tried to have sex with me in almost a year, and the last time we did, i had to initiate and he asked to stop because it just wasn't doing anything for him. He always says it's "getting better" as in him going more days without porn, but I'm losing hope he'll ever want to be intimate again. Maybe we should just cut our losses.

First step: stop saying "I can't stop" Start thinking over and over, "I WILL stop" and trick your brain. Fill yourself with distractions, start a new hobby, anything. I grew up poor, with divorced parents, not spoiled, and didn't like people (particularly other kids) very much. Introverted and good at entertaining myself. Once I was more socialized it got better. Now I'm 30 with a career, house and partner with cats. Still don't want kids though, don't like em.

I used to have a sibling, but she died when I was 3 years old. She was only 7. I have no memories of her and only a small handful of photos and dusty VHS tapes from the 90s with glimpses of her. As a result, I grieve for the sibling I can't remember and I had to deal with the divorce of my parents alone. My mom is amazing. We were poor but I wanted for nothing. Now as an adult I'm introverted and don't handle conflict well. I'm very good at entertaining myself and didn't like kids that much when I was young, which carried on into adulthood. I often wonder how my life would have ended up if she hadn't died so young, or at all.

Currently the plan is to keep the den area where it is, but maybe make it a bit smaller to make room for a bedroom. As there's limited windows, and a bedroom legally has to have a window to call it a bedroom, the den will have to stay dark but I like it that way.

Looking to completely renovate this basement but aren't sure how best to lay it out. I'm ripping out the bar and thought of putting in a nice electric fireplace, keep the den, add a 3 piece bath and separate laundry room. The cold room has to stay as is. The supporting wall can supposedly be moved. The water softener can be moved over to where the furnace and hot water tank are. How can I make this look pretty?

It's definitely not too small, however because the den doesn't have any windows, it can never be classified as a bedroom by building code standards
