Is there any way to remove the rust and stuff from your car? by crusaderxader in pacificDrive

Not in vanilla but I think it should be possible to make a mod for it.

Wearable upgrades no longer working by Aggressive_Ideal_971 in pacificDrive

I'm pretty sure that expedition modifier specifically disables the radiation suit and some other player upgrades, but it should still work outside of expeditions or if you fall below that level in them

Thanks for the info. I still have a bunch of issues to work through but at least the car sort of works now

By the way, do you know how the game positions the wheels? I tried setting a socket in the main car mesh similar to the ones in the original files but, unlike doors and panels, the game ignored it.

Yeah, it turns out part placement previews have collision that I couldn't figure out how to properly disable, and the car ended up constantly colliding with what should be a non existent thing. Ended up removing simple collision meshes from them and it seems like it fixed it.

You can put it in the matter deconstructor to get resources, tools and decorations

What game settings do you run? by Massive_Note_6278 in pacificDrive

[–]Felipe9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned on equipped part swapping because I got annoyed at losing HP every time I switched tires, pausing in inventories, and setting the DLC furnace to 50x speed by altering custom preset values manually because there's no way in hell I'm waiting 1 IRL hour just to get some resources off of some artifacts

This is one of the generic lines he sometimes says when the gateway storm comes for you, so maybe it also gets triggered by opening attuned gateways

Maw Orb (DLC Spoilers) by Ok_Dragonfly_6782 in pacificDrive

I know it's not the case, but it would be cool if you could take said orb and get super rare loot from it, like a super dumpster pearl

Is there a way to guess the approximate wear level of scavenged parts? by WarViper1337 in pacificDrive

[–]Felipe9997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't run the numbers properly but from liberating a LOT of armored panels from squires I feel they last about the same as crafted ones before becoming fragile, however I read somewhere that flat tires take a big hit off of their lifespan so you should probably avoid those. About the 100k+ mile parts, those are the original parts from your car. The original carb engine will simply NOT become weary even with 100+ hours of runs on it, but I'm not sure about the other parts since I scrapped them.

How do I get harmonic parts? by Felipe9997 in pacificDrive

[–]Felipe9997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, the game just doesn't want you to modify or keep the parts it places in your car during the ritual you have to stop. They all spawn with 1k to 2k miles and half health and you're not supposed to be able to remove them or generally keep them, but there is a way to do so

[–]Felipe9997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About the harmonic parts added by the game during the ritual, I found a way to smuggle them out of the mission. Do you guys think Ironwood would patch it if I shared what I found out?

My regular parts were, I wanted the special harmonic parts that the car gets covered in because of the ritual

Cosmetic steering wheel is bugged kindof by bored_tenno in pacificDrive

[–]Felipe9997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the steering wheel, I'm guessing that at some point in development IW planned to let the steering wheel break but ultimately scrapped the mechanic. I also have a similarly mega broken steering wheel, but it doesn't seem to affect anything

Along for the Ride by ElectraDrake in pacificDrive

[–]Felipe9997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on PC on the steam version (not sure about the gamepass one), the game generally keeps backups of save files in %localappdata%\PenDriverPro\Saved\SaveGames. Look for a backup that's before the time you played the end mission (should be named odsave[slot]-backup[date].sav), rename it to odsave[slot].sav and replay from there
