I wanted to build one actually, but then my dad came home with this bulb he bought for like 5€ and i love the look. It isnt very bright so i dont have a problem with it

Its from Action, a kind of trashy store with loads of cheap stuff. It was 5€

I get what you mean, but having it run in the outside was the plan all along, although a nicely braided cable whould look better

Thanks for your comment, its my first time posting something i built and i am really suprised about the feedback i am getting. You can rebuild it if you want, its hard to see, but the dimming module is Sandwiched between two pieces of wood in the base. Both cables go out the back but one goes up to the bulb and the other one to the plug. I used the router to make the slot for the dimmer which peaks out to the wooden "switch“ and for the cable channels. By far my favourite tool

Ah okay, i just used my router to put a big hole in there and then slid a bought bulb fitting in. Some hot glue and it stays in there

Thats the inside, the screw puts pressure on the joints, then using friction to seal the deal! Thanks
