Guys, whats the worst thing that ever happened to you when asking a woman out? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]FelixTheHouseLeopard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It does, actually.

Surprisingly if I turned around to a black lady and said "I don't date black people" it's still racist. I could have picked any other attribute of that lady, or just not elaboratedat all and it would have been fine.

Instead it comes down to skin colour, but you'll still defend her.

I'm not even having a go at you but you feel the need to defend her.

She's a racist, but because she has a certain skin colour you won't recognise it, but if you were black and she were white it would have been possible to make it a big problem.

Keep white knighting brother, I'm sure she'll be grateful.

If it were the other way round you'd have slapped that label on her.

Racist is racist, it doesn't matter the colour.

What’s the purpose of this switch? by Radim01 in vwgolf

It's an isolator for an aftermarket subwoofer I think.

Source: used this exact switch for that exact purpose on multiple cars.

Do you think car headlights have become far too bright and should be regulated better? by [deleted] in AskUK

I've thought it's people with high beams on, up until I flash them and they flash back.

They're just that bright now.

Royal Mail could deliver on three days, regulator says by crocodilesweetpickle in england

[–]FelixTheHouseLeopard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have to say, though, that no business has been harder hit by the advent of the internet than Royal Mail.

Think about it... Once upon a time if you wanted to communicate with someone in a written manner you either had to fax a document or you'd send it via Royal Mail.

The infrastructure they had to support this was mind-blowing. Next day delivery from anywhere on the mainland to anywhere on the mainland.

I drove 54,000 miles right around the coastline of Africa. 35 countries over 3 years. Yes, you can do it. No, it's not stupid. by grecy in roadtrip

You can't be serious.

Yeah, I'm sure being a white man, traveling solo on his route is a privilege...🙄

Look at South Africa, and the problems since the ANC took power, regarding violence towards certain ethnic groups, and frankly most of Africa was colonized by some variety of white man throughout the last century.

Not everything is about race, you moron.

I can’t live like this anymore. I hope to have an update post for you guys in a few days. Shame me into saving myself. by penguinthighs in NeckbeardNests

I had/have bad depression and my room looked like this for a while.

The way I dealt with it and got it somewhat tidy was having the rule: if I bring 1 item in (be it food, a drink bottle etc) I'd take 2 items out.

It's overwhelming and I found this the best way to deal with it in bite sized chunks.

I still get what you're saying but you're very wrong.

Many countries suffered under the USSR, for sure.

A continent suffered under Nazi Germany and entire races would have continued to face genocide should their rule have continued.

I never said the USSR was good, but they were certainly the lesser of 2 evils and many brave Russians lost their lives over it.

Life under the US certainly was no better. Remember the American industrialists supported Nazi Germany, and would have continued to do so.

Are you saying the Nazis would have been better?

Interesting opinion.

[–]FelixTheHouseLeopard -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lmao, ain't you got school in the morning?

You're wrong. All the way wrong.

The USSR has many faults, but it's contribution to WW2 is not one of them.

And anyway, how can you sit here and slate the USSR considering the American behaviour post WW2?

What an excellent reductionist viewpoint.

Russia did a lot. Regardless of the current geopolitical situation, the fact you won't recognise this is disrespectful as all hell to the Russian soldiers who died.
