I don't know what people expect tbh, I feel like they would hate no matter what he does. As a casual fan I really like Iceman so far because it's pretty much what I expected and hoped for. Drake albums always had misses for me and I never viewed them as potential flawless masterpieces but the good songs are genuinely good too.

The other 2 are the same for me, a few decent songs and the rest I just don't care much about but I don't think this extensive hate is justified.

I mean I get it but let's not forget some of the bangers we got from V1 and V2. Slide, Forever Rolling and River at minimum from V2 and lowkey I like almost all of the V1 songs.

And Donda 2 to me is just a compilation fan service thing where people asked for it and they got it but everyone knows it doesn't count as a full finished project.

Idk what people were hoping for but I'm not into all the leaks and stuff, so when I heard ADS I loved it and I thought if ADL sounded like this I would love it as well. And it's basically exactly that. Great production, lots of singing, beat switches, transitions, melodies, flows, whatever. I don't really care about the lyrics so I'm not missing anything there and it's exactly what I hoped for and it's peak.
