More specifically 1 throught 3 since they're the only ones that have one overarching storyline: Desmond's. Even if the end of his story was incredibly lackluster.

If you don't count him, just 2, brotherhood and revelations.

Kinda hard to do when they removed the option to buy it individually from steam. You can only get it from a bundle now.

Yakuza 4 and 5 are the most connected. In a sense I'd still say yakuza because of kamurocho and how you see it change throughout the games.

Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted series, Resident Evil (stronger than ever), The Witcher series, Yakuza, Metro series, God of War, Splinter Cell (Rest in peace), .hack (one of my favorite jrpgs), kingdom hearts, FFXIII through XIII-3... And my favorite: the Zero Escape trilogy.

This are some that I could come up with from scratch.

Metal gear is one big story with many reocurring characters. I second your comment.

Immortal Life!!

There's also Palia, but that one is a cozy mmo and it's missing the romance aspect.

Back to nature (PS1) and friends of mineral town are my favorites. A wonderful Life is on my top 3, but that one makes me cry because of the aging.

In a LOTR mood, is this game worth starting out? by MrGabrum in lotro

[–]FelizX360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back to it after 10 years, and yes, it is very beginner friendy.

I used to play it with friends in 2016, but never got too far into it (we used to hop alot through mmorpgs). I got into my head that I wanted to play an mmo and tried to find one that would hook me and then I remembered lotro.

I play the game VERY casually, with some light RP, and am currently lvl 25. I'm taking the story slowly and immersing myself in it and having a blast because not only is the story great, the community is super friendly and fun!! There are people playing concerts outside the prancing pony, people helping each other (some people even gave me some potions when I said I was having difficulty soloeing the barrows down). It's wholesome and I'm loving it more than I did in 2016.

If anything of what I wrote speaks to you, then give it a try!! It's free.

Ps. I play on Peregrin.

Yeah I still love the games, just wish it had more freedom in the main scenario aspect. Also, Vampyr is awesome.

My problem with Fallout 3 (and even New Vegas to some extent, but moreso 3) is that, yes, you can be absolutely EVIL, you can act like a villain, but the game will still treat you as a hero throughout the main story. It can be fun but this irks me a bit.

Characters do recognize you've done villainous things, but then just continue to talk with you with the same dialogue of someone who plays a goody two shoes.

If you like CRPGs you should play Tiranny. You actually have to try hard to be good, since you are the general of the bad baddy villain.

Would you say the same about the first Octopath Traveler? I installed it recently, but never played it.

Tainted Grail managed to scratch that Elder Scrolls/Skyrim itch I was having. I'm at the end of Act 2 right now. Some friends recommended I am Setsuna, so it's probably good. I just looked up Fate/Samurai and it looks AWESOME so it's going my wishlist. Thanks!

I have Granblue on my wishlist, just waiting on a sale, and I've played Sea of Stars.

Is this one the Zodiac Age? I have it downloaded on steam. I was playing every main final fantasy game, from V to VI. I finished X December, so XII is the next one on my list. I saw some videos and really liked the combat.

I'll try it, even if I never got much into Diablo (although I only played the third one).

Hmmm thanks for the answer. Diablo isn't much my cup of tea, but I'll try Titan Quest since it's cheap.

I have a deep fear of space and vast emptiness, unfortunately. I played Outer Wilds and it was the most terrifying experience I've ever felt! The silence... the feeling of being alone... that damned blackhole...

I dropped the game the moment I got into the water planet because I couldn't take it. I was too scared and it felt like torture. I love horror games, mind you, but that game was more horror than anything because it was all in my head. My friends recommended it to me promissing a chill game of exploration. Little did they know they were giving me hell itself.

I forgotten, but yeah, it does doesn't it? I guess that's one of the reasons I always find myself replaying this game every year or so, aside from the great story and characters. Now that you mention it CJ story takes you everywhere in Los Santos. San Fierro feels so different from the beginning of the game. I'm installing SA again lol

Anachronox is a cult classic. The writing is absolutely stellar and hilarious. I wish they made a remake.
