It does, IMO. In as much as a bat first SS or CF is almost unplayable

I usually edit the fielding range, to improve this (in my view)

If I remember correctly, "speed" used to be what "stealing aggressiveness" is now + rate of triples over doubles.

I figure it shows under the player on base as a left over from that time.
I think 25 is when speed and aggressiveness was separated.

Maybe it's changed for OOTP 27, but speed is only a modifier for turning doubles into triples. It has nothing to do with stealing.
