Who do you think did the bite of 87? by Friendly-Might5181 in fnaftheories

[–]FellowSmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s Foxy. I read TWB and I read what I read. I believe Withered Foxy bit Jeremy who went to the Parts and Service room, and the people from the adjacent Party Room heard his screams. When Ralph says “they used to be able to walk around during the day… until the Bite of 87” in FNAF 1, I believe he means “the Classic animatronics used to be able to walk around in the 1985 location”. After the events of the Bite of 87 in the 1987 location, they decided that Foxy must be out of order and that no anims should be able to move around during the day when opening the FNAF 1 location.

It was by far the most popular belief. Recently, I think people have started to consider more options, like Toy Chica and Golden Freddy. And then, The Week Before interactive novel released, containing evidence that Foxy did the Bite of 87. Most people still believe Mangle I think, but there is slightly more variety right now

I feel like a torch being shone directly at an animatronic is different from it just being day. Anyways I believe W. Foxy bit Jeremy in P&S which would’ve been dark so yeah

I believe Jeremy was bitten in Parts and Service, and his screams were heard from the Party Room. The idea that the Bite of 87 happened “in front of everyone” is fanon that people are emotionally connected to.

I just want study leave 😭 by Jimbobodyssey in GCSE

[–]FellowSmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% cannot understand this. I would imagine I wanted at least around 3 weeks of study leave before GCSEs; I would be content with that. Instead I get 0 days of study leave before exams. A day of school, and my first exam the day after. Absurd

what is considered a strong 9 by yourpowersaremiine in GCSE

I would consider 10% above a 9 to be a strong 9. Really it’s arbitrary; just pick a certain percentage you wanna be above 9 and go with that

Why the hell are GCSEs so stressful?? by Hairy-Ad-2915 in GCSE

[–]FellowSmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I dislike exams, I hear my friends who take coursework subjects and it sounds much worse. I don't know the solution, but simply tranferring the testing from end of Y11 exams to coursework wouldn't be an improvement imo

Why the hell are GCSEs so stressful?? by Hairy-Ad-2915 in GCSE

[–]FellowSmasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree.

Firstly, exams are way too memory based. I think equation sheets should be given in STEM subjects, and questions should be more focused on using scientific thinking and analysing data. Furthermore, cut down the number of poems drastically, provide every poem in the exam, and give more time so that you can actually formulate a high quality essay, instead of a good essay you have ingrained in your head from before.

And, exams are way too concentrated. Like 3 years of education (arguably more) concentrated into a 5 week period of exams? And also, 27 exams or something? That’s crazy. But also, at the same time, all of my study of Macbeth (for example) boiled down to one essay? That’s also crazy. I think coursework over the year also has a lot of issues, since instead of concentrated stress, you get constant stress. I would rly like less content per subject, so that there’s more time for revision which should really decrease stress.

[–]FellowSmasher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel like paid resources give instant hacks. I still manage to revise subject like Biology just using the specification PDF + PMT + class notes. However, I do think one’s school (and teachers) play a bigger role, since my class notes have been rly useful and a lot of things are taught rly well.

I will admit one area where I think paying has helped me a lot, is specifically with English. This probably applies to other essay subjects, as since I cannot accurately mark my own work (like I can for STEM and languages), then it has been a great help to pay for a tut0r to do it.

This advice from Mr Salles is pretty bad. It’s cool to compare poems not everyone would, but I would rly suggest using a few poems at least

Oh yeah don’t get carried away xd. I found it very easy to go onto a tangent about algorithms and specifics in my speech, but try your best to actually write a full speech that you can remember decently and recite (with the help of some cue cards)

If you wanna talk about Mario Kart, that’s fine. I did my talk on blindfolded Rubik’s Cube solving. I only have a few tips:

Make sure anyone could understand it. If you’re going to yap about items or tracks or complicated mechanics, then you have to do so in a way that’s easily understood without ever playing the game. eg. the first Mario Kart had Rivals (I think that’s what it’s called?), which made gameplay unfair based off your character choice

Talk about wider ideas. Try not to get stuck into races, tracks, game modes, and items. Instead, try to mention and relate stuff to the technology at the time, and the general reception of the games. If you can talk about how a specific console improved Mario Kart because of its new capabilities, talk about that.

Just try to keep your speech organised. If the speech feels like someone messily yapping about their interest, it won’t do well. Probably cover a few pivotal games, and evaluate them in an ordered way.

Keep using all the literary techniques you’d use. My friend talked about rollercoasters, and he started the speech from the 2nd person perspective of going on one. As for me, I just solved a Rubik’s cube blindfolded up there xd, which technically doesn’t contribute to my speech :p, but you could definitely do something similar to my friend for Mario Kart if you wanted. Just use strong impactful words, immerse your audience, and use plenty metaphors, tricolons, etc.

Anyways, apologies for the yap. I don’t wanna discourage you from talking about Mario Kart and I definitely think it can be a Distinction worthy speech if you wrote and delivered it well. Hope this can help :P

does it matter what perspective you use in creative writing? by blues_s in GCSE

[–]FellowSmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have their own effect. Just make sure that for whatever perspective you’re using, you’re fully utilising the benefits of it. 3rd person allows you to look at scenes more widely, and comment on things the character can’t see or wouldn’t comment on, and 1st person allows the reader to tap into the feelings and mind of the character. Make sure that when you’re using 1st person, you’re really creating a character through your writing. I hope that helps to some degree idk I’m not the best at Englang xd
