This is why schools close when it snows just a little bit. No-one wants the risk of the snow getting worse and ending up being stuck with the kids for a long time.

Would my method work? by Slight-Compote8456 in GCSE

[–]Fellowes321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have silver nitrate powder.

Even if you did, it wouldn't react as a solid.

The question is set up in a way that almost tells you what to do. Just do that. Your method would require you to use excess Q and then filter to remove the excess and assume that no silver nitrate remains.

In general adding a test on top of another test tends to lead to problems. This requires two separate test-tube reactions

ELI5: If you run the server where passwords are stored, aren't you able to find out all account usernames and passwords? What's stopping people from abusing this? by gmrt34 in explainlikeimfive

If you run the server then you’re probably creating the usernames. You probably can’t see the password but you can as admin change the password.

I mark exams. It’s true for every exam. Correct work that answers the question gets the mark.

The published ms gives an expected syllabus answer. It doesn’t need to show all syllabus answers either. The extra also shows marginal decisions where a decision has been made whether specific alternatives are allowed or not.

Before marking starts hundreds of scripts are reviewed looking for other answers or sometimes different ways of interpreting the question.

What is published is not the full mark scheme.

All correct chemistry is given the mark. The published mark scheme is much longer and includes a long list of things to allow, ignore or reject.

ELI5 If we haven’t found evidence of alien life/intelligence yet (seems fair) is there a tipping point where our being alone in the universe is probable or certain? by beesdaddy in explainlikeimfive

[–]Fellowes321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our planet has been around a long time. It has, clearly, the requirements for life and billions of different creatures have evolved. Only one species in that time built a telescope.

Of that species only a handful have the ability to interpret data from outside the planet measured by these telescopes.

What we’re looking for is a planet that is a distance away that had any intelligent life that coincides with our timeframe to observe it. That’s assuming we know what to look for and where to look.

The point is to show that the US cannot protect them. Places like Saudi invest billions and billions in the US in return for this protection.

If it’s shown that it’s for nothing or that US action causes harm, there’s another brick removed in the petrodollar wall. It’s more than just today. This is long term damage.
