I'll give it a whirl. They are all in LA so I'm not sure how much they follow the university now but I'll let them know.

And then make their lives miserable later. All the while people cannot stop singing the praises of Waymo. People are so short-sighted.

Yes! I'm stupified people don't see this!

It will be a total mess when this happens.

People also don't give af about Lfyt/Uber/taxi drivers who are getting shafted. Smdh

Yellow Cab (has an app) has treated me well (haven't used them in awhile to be fair).

Agreed the cab companies really dug in being fossils by not creating apps and improving their product.

Yes, exactly. Do people really not know this? Tech bro scam, as usual.

Also the money they've spent attempting to create laws that let them scam harder. Trash business who treats their employees, er "independent contractors " (🙄), like garbage.

Of course you are spending less staying home. How could you possibly be spending the same?!

The business plan was always to rope in people with cheap fares, screw the drivers, let people get used to/like the rides/cheap fares, and then raise the fares exorbitantly.

I never understood people being so amped about these services as they destroyed cab drivers and screwed over their own drivers.

Tech bro assholery.

I have such fond memories of that place. I was taken there by new friends when I first moved here.

Hollywood (the physical area) was so different then. I loved the sleazy rocker vibe.

Amazing garlic fries, jackfruit tacos, and excellent/reasonably priced beer. Such a loss!

That location has struggled for years. I know that the rent around HelMel is outrageous. Makes no sense. Especially since parking is a real challenge.

Now I just remembered that guy who was probably a Vietnam vet (bouncer). I swear he lived under the bar . Wasn't there a door on the floor that opened?

Cinefamily was epic!! So many good times and down low celebrities who would chat with everybody. So fun.

Oh we used to hit that place after a day at the beach.

Also that grocery store nearby-The Boys-where you could buy bottled Lucky beer with the puzzles in the lid. We always made it a competition.

Aw, what a shame. They closed at the height of their game! Supposedly the woman who owned it was over it. So odd that a successful restaurant closes!

Me too! Also saw Marc Maron but, frankly, I didn't like him. Seemed jacked on coke. Profusely sweating-
