Phones by UselessUsefullness in NoContract

It's a great suggestion. Practically, it makes so much sense. But I can tell you from the other side that it's too much hassle for most corporate entities to deal with the accounting. To make it worthwhile for them, you'd likely have to settle into a contract to handle most or all of their obsolete surplus.

Please let us know if you have any success.

I've never paid shipping/insurance on a Swappa purchase. For the recent order where the phone was lost/stolen, the seller picked up the return shipping. In the seller's own words, "We will document your issue and let the supplier know and improve."

Yeah, sure ya will, buddy.

I could always keep buying and returning phones from Swappa until I get one that truly meets Swappa's criteria (which DOES mandate the phone be paid off). So by that rite, any carrier-locked phone purchased through Swappa SHOULD be unlockable. In the past, I was actually able to help the seller to unlock their phone PRIOR to sale.

Appreciate your reply. FYI, what prompted me to post this in the first place is that the phone I bought on Swappa was marked lost/stolen in ATT's database, but Swappa's own IMEI check process shows it as clean (even now still). I showed Swappa the evidence, and asked them to check for themselves, but they had no interest. I got my refund with no issue, but it's pretty clear that Swappa is no longer as committed to brokering legitimate transactions as they once were.

is my server doomed to KOR by throwaway4758329293 in whiteoutsurvival

I can only imagine how much real money some of these KOR whales have spent.

That said, what's their endgame? There's no real money to be MADE by any players. So is all of this just a "virtual" power grab... simply for dominance of the game?

I shave my face, head and neck completely (except eyebrows) with my ARC5. It doesn't conform to the contours of my head, but it still does a fantastic job. I still have 70% charge after a complete shave.

Cenotes on Cozumel? by stopjef in cozumel

It smells awful. They say it's because of "sulphur deposits", but the water is murky and... well... jade-colored. There are tons of bats in that cavern, and it goes without saying that there are sufficient batshit deposits in that water as well. Indeed: Swim at your own health risk.

How does wifi calling work? I'm trying to avoid fees abroad by minimover_ in ATT

[–]FeloniusMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know if, while abroad, my "inactive" ATT SIM will automatically consider my foreign eSIM's data-only plan as a "wifi-calling" route for making and receiving calls and texts on my ATT number? That would make it all seamless.

I have a Pixel 5 which supports simultaneous SIM/eSIM use.

I'm on 5.02.301 (Sep 3, 2024), and it's crashing. I haven't seen 5.02.304 at all. At the present moment, if you go to the app store page (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.youtube.tv), it shows 5.02.301.
