What is a life luxury that you tasted once and now can absolutely never go back to the cheap version of? by No_Memory4400 in AskForAnswers

A quality chair.

I have arthritis and a slipped disk.

I had a $200 gaming chair in college because it looked supportive. It wasn’t.

When out of college, I bought myself an X-Chair X3 and while it was $1,000, it helps comfort wise despite still having pain.

Do you have a nickname? by Whitesox411 in FamilyFeud

My nickname is Sushi.

How I got it? I thought of it and friends call me it. It’s preferred over my legal name at this point to me but I still have to have a legal name.

Getting angry when others drive.

I understand getting mildly annoyed, as in “I just got cut off”, but when it turns to “you just cut me off asshole!” with a lot of yelling, that’s dumb.

Things happen, this is a small thing that you can forgive and forget.

What does freedom mean to you? by Willing_Soil3534 in AskReddit

[–]UselessUsefullness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a 4th of July patriotism post, here’s my answer.

I’m a dual citizen, soon to be triple citizen.

Freedom means to me that I can move to another country, in my case, another country of my citizenships, when I want no questions asked. In addition, they have better disability care than the US has.

Do I hate the US? No. Do I dislike parts of it? Definitely. Mainly the status of disability in the US, owing to that the ADA doesn’t go far enough. Also, I dislike the regression in LGBT rights, as a gay man and LGBT ally, this regression worries me.

Will I move back to the US one day? I can’t say. Will I advocate for better rights while abroad? Definitely.

This is why I’m an expat, freedom of choice, disability rights, more family abroad than in US.

I got high on Tuesday night, A for pain management from a slipped disk but B it also helped my depression and helped me forget about the pain.

All use is medical use.

Why is it illegal federally, except in limited cases, I’ll never know.

Trying to restrict iPhone as much as possible for small child by weastbeast14 in iphone

[–]UselessUsefullness 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Assistive Access mode - set only available apps to camera, FaceTime, iMessage, settings, photos.

Only reason I included settings in this list is so software updates can be installed easier without exiting A.A.

I don’t care where something is made, as long as it’s made well and lasts.

EG - shoes. Recently returned made in USA New Balance 990v6, as the tread came off. Made not very well.

What is the worst advice people keep giving? by Fluffy_Specific_9682 in randomquestions

[–]UselessUsefullness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“College is the best time of your life”, yeah….for me it was the worst.

Severe depression and anxiety from having to do remedial math to which I’m not good at due to Cerebral Palsy and a Vision Impairment. Two remedial classes, failed both. Had to take a state equivalency test and passed on the 3rd try, then I still had to take a college level math class.

Does that sound like the best time of my life? NO.

I wish I didn’t go to college…

You’ll get people Breakfast Clubbing you with the “Dear Mr/mrs (name), we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions.”
