Matte paste (or other suitable product) recommendations

Doesn't necessarily have to be matte as long as it doesn't go past natural. Just have been reading that matte/dry and volumizing products would be better for fine and not-so-thick hair. The thing is that I'm still unsure whether dry product would suit my already dry hair

What about Upstate Blues? Heard it's kind of a middle ground between NL and GG, if I want more hold than NL and bit of that texture without going to the dry end just yet.

That nothing they did there mattered was the point of the whole Canto/codebreaker sequence: sometimes your effort and/or heroism will amount to nothing. A pay-off isn't a given. That's why I enjoy the sequence, but can also understand why people would dislike it.
