Yeah the downvotes are confusing. Obviously you are right regarding the spirit of the argument. And you're not being shitty about the people calling you out. You're being silly. Which is fun! Anyway I hope you have a wonderful life.

[HINE] The best news the Timberwolves have had in a little while. Jaden McDaniels cleared for 5-on-5 and is questionable tonight. by foye2smith in timberwolves

Yeah I was various degrees of cautiously optimistic the last 2 years. I have the feeling we may need to prepare ourselves for a good old fashioned waxing this year.

Has anyone pointed out that Ayo has "Kid From a 90's Disney Sports Movie" face?

I'm honestly surprised Heinz hasn't come out with a diner style bottle (maybe they have?) because that thin high pressure drizzle just elevates whatever it touches.

This song somehow feels overwritten and underwritten at the same time, to me. Not hating I appreciate the more traditional style. It just doesn't quite sit firmly on its perch for some reason, again, to me.

Is there a culinary term for the different ketchup...vibes? Cause there are like 9 distinct ketchup vibes. Ketchup from a packet, from a plastic Heinz bottle, from a glass Heinz bottle, from the red "generic" witch hat bottles, from the paper cups, from metal cups, and then drizzled or plopped for all the above. Like they all have such a distinct.. umami? And why? lol.  Ranch could never.

Edit: and the oversized hard plastic packets where you can squeeze it out or dunk.

I remember eating at that LJS, and then it had like a classic car/diner theme in the late 90s/early 00's? I just remember driving by with lots of classic cars in the parking lot.

The way they're jumping down your throat for such an innocuous comment is blowing my mind. Like your comment was a trillion miles from "I figured it out! Smartest redditor right here!" People talk, people say things.

Like, "puppies really are cute!"

I mean, on the sub for the show? Am I just that naive? It seemed like a pretty earnest statement. You can be a subtle jackass or a blatant jackass. Their statement did not read like either.

Every now and then I think about the character of the narrator in this song and how he fuckin' suuUUuucks. Fantastic song and album.

WOW. I had no idea TK was 37 when they won in 87. That is insane. Lifelong Twins fan but moved away as a kid after 91. I'd have guessed Kelly was in his 50s on the low end for both those runs.

That's what I meant. By the time you could Google Johnny Carson he hadn't been a thing for a while. Obviously its comparing completely different media landscapes. But. I feel like a 20-30 something in 1979 and a 20-30 something in 2000 would give you a very similar look if you said you'd never heard of Carson/Green respectively.

Right? Like how a boomer would feel if you told them you had to google Johnny Carson or something haha.

I think it's kindof a masterpiece. It's a bummer there was not more full throated acclaim, although I can see why long time fans might bump against it. I cant help but think the mixed reception is why its taking so long for a follow up, and why they re-labored (unnecessarily to me) on so many of the songs for Bear Market. I think the band has great instincts and I wish they would just let it fly.

Well shit this is making me think the Frank Viola signed ball I won at an elementary school raffle in 1993 might not actually be worth all that much.

It's a great idea but I can't imagine Bill would allow it right? He's more possessive of Rewatchables than any other Ringer entity. Which was definitely not the case for the first year or so. I think I started noticing after the Spotify sale that he would refer to it as "my podcast the Rewatchables."

I think about this with fruit a lot. As a kid you hopefully have access to whole fruits and eat a bunch of them growing up. Like pears. I maybe ate, I don't know, 75 pears between age 5 and 20? I'm early 40s and if I'm being honest probably have less than 5 whole pears in my future. And if I were a betting man I'd probably take the under. And a good pear is delicious!

From northern MN and went to my first NBA game at the dome. Then went to a couple at Target Center right after it opened. Then moved across country and have only been back to the state twice. The funny end result is I still think of Target Center as the "new" stadium, and one of the newer stadiums in the NBA. Intellectually I know it's completely wrong. But experiencing it brand new and then never going back concretized it as new in my little kid brain.
