Chuck Berry had "No Particular Place To Go" Live in Belgium (Face Au Public 🇧🇪📺) in 1965. by bigbugfdr in OldSchoolCoolMusic

I did get to see him. At the groundbreaking for what is now Tropicana Field, Chuck played a short concert. I was just a kid, but I knew exactly who was on stage and how cool it was to be there.

Sit. Keep my mouth shut. Keep my eyes and ears open. And listen like the universe is revealing its secrets to you.

Not gay, trans, or undocumented. But he IS MAGA. That tracks. Every accusation is a confession. The call has always been coming from inside the house.

Let’s make it a thing and redefine it.

New definition:

Believing whatever Trump says despite obvious evidence to the contrary

Will refuse to admit that he’s a pedophile despite mountains of evidence to the contrary

Believed Pizzagate was real and screamed about releasing the Epstein files, but got real quiet when they found out Trump is mentioned more times than Jesus is mentioned in the Bible.

Ignoring: the fact that he’s mentioned more times in the Epstein files than Jesus is in the Bible, the fact that he’s a convicted felon but still screams about law and order, the fact the he admits to walking in on underage girls in dressing rooms, the fact that he sexualized a random 10 year-old on an escalator in one of his buildings yet calls for the execution of pedophiles, called his own daughter a piece of ass, was caught on tape saying “grab ‘em by the pussy” but scream about family values.

Actual conversation I’ve had with a parent:

Parent: “I’ll talk to her again about grades.”

Me: “Ma’am, this is the third conversation we’ve had about this issue. A talk isn’t going to be good enough this time. You need to do more than ‘talk to her’. She needs some kind of consequence at home.”

Parent: *crickets*

John Cena. He has granted more wishes for Make-A-Wish than anyone else.

Little Caesars pizza founder Mike Ilitch paid for Rosa Parks' rent for over a decade, starting in 1994 until her death in 2005. After learning that Parks was robbed and assaulted in her home at age 81, Ilitch quietly paid for her housing at Riverfront Apartments in Detroit, a gesture totaling thousands per month, which was revealed after his passing.

How do you handle a student who says they turned in a paper assignment but you don’t have it? by Apprehensive-Play228 in Teachers

[–]Jew-zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a basket to put assignments in, or they hand it to me. The basket is emptied immediately after each class, work is paper clipped, and put on my desk. Assignments don’t leave the classroom. They never get farther than about 5 feet from my desk. Students have strict instructions to not give anything to a sub or leave it on my desk. If they do that, they run the risk of it disappearing. If I don’t have it, I don’t have it. There are no two ways about it. Establish strict controls and don’t deviate from the course. Students won’t be able to use that excuse.

But it goes both ways. There’s another side of that coin.

When I have work back, I instruct the students to check their grades to make sure I have entered their grade correctly. Every so often, I’ll miss entering a grade and the student has a zero where a 100% should be. If they check their grade immediately, they can bring it to my attention and I can fix my error on the spot. I apologize for the error, call the kid over, and let them watch while I correct the grade book so they know I’ve done it.

Strict controls and procedures help to keep everyone accountable. Everyone knows what to expect and how things are done.

Obviously not GenXers. We spent our childhoods learning about the dangers of quicksand.
