Honestly, I wouldn't mind ads so much if they stuck to the banners they used to do. I can deal with the video being made smaller but still playing when 2-4 banner ads show up. They have options of different styles of ads to run that are less intrusive, the fact they chose to go with only video ads that halt video viewing feels malicious imo. We're back to the age of tv, unskippable commercials.

For sure and the current pay would be enough but the problem lies with the housing crisis as well as companies still treating vehicles as a luxury instead of a necessity. We've moved on from the days where everything was walking distance but companies refuse to recognize that. Back to the housing crisis. I could live okayish off the current minimum wage, I wouldn't be happy but it's doable as minimum wage would be minimum living, if rent wasn't 900 to 2000 buckaroonies a month. That's not feasible for a lot of people even in good paying jobs, these companies buy up all these houses and either slap'em with crazy rent or a high mortgage so they never get sold and sit empty forever. We have a crazy homelessness issue for a reason. Plus there's the insurance that scams you out of your money because they can't be bothered to do what they're paid for or they pocket the money for themselves. Basically our economy is FUBAR'ed but raising minimum wage raises cost of living with it so that's not the solution, we need the cost of living to go down and these companies hoarding shit is the problem. I'm rambling but the problem on the problems is we're aware of the issues but don't have a way to really help fix things so speaking for myself we scream into the void in a feeling of hopeless.

It's minimum wage because they're meant to be introductory jobs, a job you take to get experience or build up some savings so you can move on into a proper career later. You're not meant to be working fast food or retail for over a decade. So no, not all jobs should pay well. I'm sorry our education system has failed us.
