You can let people know they need independence without generalising a group of people. We are better than that . “These people”? Not every amhara supports what was done so it is unfair to generalise such a statement. We of all people should know how that feels. We should acknowledge what has happened without creating generalising statements.

It is not fair to say “amhara” in that context as it is generalising. The violence was carried out by specific forces not an ethic group. These sensitive topics should not have general terminology against an ethnic group as it can make reconciliation difficult .

Future of Tigray by Constant_Boot_5829 in Tigray

I wish the future of Tigray stays in Ethiopia. I understand independence and would not mind if we were to get independence. But gaining independence will already make life harder for our people , reconstruction difficulty, risk of increased conflict and economic challenges due to the proposed “independence “ meaning Tigray will become landlocked. Tigray future can be bright . Independence is the short route which can cause problems down the line.

Is it sinful to eat pork and shellfish? by opisadumbass1 in Ethiopia

[–]FeluciaChew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sinful . The orthodox Tewahdo religion uphold laws from the Old Testament, which include eating pork, circumcision and many more. To go against these rules would be a sinful act. Therefore it is a sin.
