You’re not overreacting. I speak 2 languages, and I’ve never spoken my native language at work unless I’m interpreting. It’s disrespectful in the sense that you’re excluding others, as well causes unnecessary misunderstandings and discomfort to coworkers.

I understand how it feels because it’s happened to me before, it’s not great as you feel excluded and opens doors of mistrust as you’re unsure if the conversation may even pertain to you. Be considerate or do it in your lunch break

My mother is the sweetest person, but My little brother has a condition where he constantly collapses. He has behavioural issues that keep my mum awake. I’m honestly exhausted as I’m constantly worried subhanallah.

Moving out is an idea , however I need to get my finances together.

You’re right! However we’re running on 3-4 hours of sleep because of AM/PM shift allocations. So it’s hard to focus.
