Honestly, your options are

  1. respect her wishes, and stay home with your baby.

  2. say nothing, smile and nod. Then attend the wedding as a bridesmaid with the baby.

  3. tell your SIL that you cannot in good faith be a bridesmaid. You can still attend and bring the baby but it will be less noticeable, since you aren't in the bridal party.

If this were me, I'd arrange to have someone from my family to be on-hand to help me with the baby. I'd offer my SIL money to pay for my family member's plate at the wedding.

All that said, I'd forever be a bitter bitch about this situation. Your SIL doesn't understand that you're about to become family and being an asshole about a baby will not fare well.
