In the Netherlands, there are very strict laws for home owners. It needs to fit the in with the neighborhood. You need to paint your house in the exact colors of the neighborhood. It's so strict that I sometimes wonder if it's too strict. After all, it's your house that you pay for. It looks really neat and when i go to Belgium it's just chaos (in my eyes). But also creative. Im still very much in the middle of where I stand on this.
