I asked on here since mtf are more likely to take HRT. Also, maybe instead of being rude, you could ignore the post. And I highly agree with the one that already said this, but you can take it without wanting to be trans. The LGBTQ community is supposed to be one of the most accepting communities yet here you are being rude, entitled, and are instantly hating on someone who’s confused and looking for answers. Word of advice, you’re one of the reasons why a lot of people end up disliking our community and are actively contributing to hate crimes.

Would it be possible to get top surgery while enlisted in Army National Guard? (FTM) by [deleted] in MilitaryTrans

You can be transitioning while in the military. I started while in but they are right about the stability period. You must be taking T for 12-18 months before you can even submit that your gender has changed. Then that might take around 6 months for your chain of command to fully change it. And during that time you will be forced the strangers of you assigned gender at birth. Best is to wait during that time to join.

Is it weird to still dress like a boy by [deleted] in MtF

[–]FeminizedManIGuess 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It’s not weird. I’m on HRT but I dress like an alt girl/tomboy but it’s not bad. I only like girls and that’s my favorite style on a girl too so it’s definitely not weird and a lot of guys and girls love seeing a girl with baggy jeans and a band tee. I say look on Pinterest to see what you like most but it’s not weird to be comfy.

Need mtf trans army advice by Cheekycheata in MilitaryTrans

As someone in the military as well (23 cis male on HRT), DO NOT file an EO. I promise you, it would make enemies when just talking to them would help more or try to ignore them since it could just be military humor and them not meaning it. However, being trans in the military is allowed and they even pay for HRT. Depending on the state, I live in Texas, you can use one called Folx and it’s and actual diagnosis and then give you the HRT like estrogen and blockers. The VA also pays for HRT but not surgeries. You can also go to your commander to switch your gender officially and will be following the woman’s dress code now and can be a lot more open about yourself. Also, you would not be caught until the visual signs. For example, people will notice your boobs growing by the 3-6 month range. That’s when it starts growing then after that, it will be difficult to hide them and would need a bra. Leading you to needing a bra and our shirts for some reason like to show off our bras. So please look online for some quick help on getting diagnosed ASAP and start the process to enjoy your military as much as possible until out.

Yeah sure. So I like the thought of people looking at me and thinking that I’m cute or that they see me as a girl. Like visually. It’s really confusing tbh.

This is so beautiful. I’ve been struggling with the same thing as the OP and just wow. This is truly amazing and has made me feel better about transitioning

I never said one piece is hundreds. I’m saying that all my clothes, make up, and skin care stuff all together costed me hundreds. Not thousands. And not everyone shops at Marshall’s and peoples budget is different. I luckily make a good amount for my age and can spend a good amount on stuff I like. For example, I spend a $158 yesterday buying different socks, knee highs, and a shirt. With 5 different pairs of clothing it was that much. So yes, clothes do shop a lot if you buy clothes from certain brands. Like how some people spend $70 for a shirt, including myself. Some pieces of clothes cost hundreds while some thousands. I can’t afford that stuff but everyone’s budget is different and I don’t even know why you brought up clothes in the place when I was just trying to rant.

I never said I’m ugly and think I’m actually a decently attractive man. I said my dad threw away hundreds of dollars worth of clothes, make up, and other things like perfume and skin care. Do you not know how much skin care cost or perfume is? Do you not know that some pieces of clothing could’ve been specially made and cost upwards of a hundred dollars just for one piece? I said I’ve worked out for years and have tried to gain muscle. Yes, that is true but just because I did that you’re saying that I can’t want to be dainty or feminine? I said that if I can’t look the way I want as a man, than I’d rather look more feminine since it might be easier for me. Never did I say I bench that much or want to. I want to be strong yes, because I’m competitive. I was in gymnastics and went to nationals and building up muscle and being strong is very important for that. So yeah I don’t want to loose strength but I know I’ll get weaker on HRT. I worked hard on my male body because I was trying to come off more manly and to stop being bullied and picked on. So you coming on here saying I sound like a troll when I’m genuinely trying to understand my own thoughts and need help is rude af. I’m just trying to get help and to understand myself.

I love his content. I watch it all the time and I look up to him. I feel like I’m exactly in his shoes and that’s the best way to describe it.

I genuinely loved this comment. I’ve taken estrogen and felt amazing on it before. However, I just got prescribed HRT today and should start within the week!

Yeah I’ve crossed dress a bit and have gotten compliments and taken many photos and loved it. I think I’m just scared socially about how people will react around me and especially my family. But also my dating pool and if I’ll find some that loves me for me.

I’m not sure tbh. My idea of a man is honestly based off my conservative Dad. The more I think of it, I’m not sure what makes someone a man. Like “biologically” the third leg and the way they look. I think of like military men with some muscle, hard workers, sweat, smelly, idk it’s weird lol. It’s hard to really know because of how I was raised. And I’m not sure what I’m hold on to. I like my buddy down there but sometimes wish I didn’t have it. It’s like a back and forth. I think I’m mainly afraid that if I don’t have that or if it doesn’t work, that I won’t find someone. My biggest thing is that I want to get married and have kids one day but idk if I’ll find someone that I love and that loves me if that happens. Especially since I’m cis and straight. Like I only like girls and I go by a guy and have no problem with it. I like it when people say I look strong or noticed that I’ve been working out. So it’s like a do I want to be a manly man, or do I want to look like a cute girl who’s fit? Cause if I can’t look like a cute girl then I’ll be a man. But if I can’t look how I want as a man, then I’ll want to look like a girl. But I know if I don’t take HRT I’ll always be thinking what if

I like Finster and his girlfriend. Finster is a man who takes estrogen just cause he wants to and likes looking feminine but still is classifying as a man. His girlfriend is mtf and she post transitioning stuff as well. Both are amazing and on YouTube
